3rd failed FET this year 😔 what should I be asking my Dr? TIA

Just had my 3 failed FET, gutted, I did push this tune for pregestrone test which came back very low at 10 on transfer day, so the added lubion and tested again 3 days later and it was borderline at 50, so upped again and 3 days later was 53. Felt I was already a non starter due to this, upset with my clinic as I asked for a blood test on my 2nd transfer and was shut down, when it looks like I have issue with progesterone. I was already on 3 cyclogest a day which mustn’t work enough. Emotionally drained and financially it’s hard too. Not sure where to go next, I am lucky to have 4 frosties but at 41 what should they be testing so I can try and become successful. My call is Tuesday with the Dr and advice really appreciated xx

Hi Diane, could you email me them too? I just had my first failed FET and the clinic didn’t check progesterone levels, but I had barely any symptoms on the cyclogest so trying to get my head around what to push for for the next one.

I don’t really know what to say apart from that I think that progesterone is really vital especially for older women I believe . I’m in a similar situation where my level was slightly low they said but wouldn’t give me the levels, this was after I’d emailed asking for my levels. I’m pretty sure this get for me is going to fail too and I really hope it’s not because they didn’t give me enough progesterone. I’m 42, 3 frozen. Wishing you all the best,

It is defiantly a factor, something so simple to check as well. I’m frustrated atm with my clinic over there so will be telling them on my follow up.,wishing you all the luck x

My clinic in Denmark said the blood levels don’t mean much as the absorption is local / vaginal, so they don’t monitor bloods at all - but I am skeptical! think your questions sound v sensible and it will be good to get your (/our) heads around this issue.

I am no Dr but after reading into progesterone it does seem to be very important so if it’s something little that can be fixed it’s worth it, obviously it could be other reasons too like chromosome issue but a check on the bloods and increase of meds it’s a easy check the professionals should be doing. I wouldn’t have even know I had an issue only I pushed them to test it, so feel I was already a non starter
