How long do you have to wait to TTC after a miscarriage?

Hi lovely ladies

Unfortunately I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks last month after our last FET. I’ve just finished spotting. I was told I have to wait for my next period to start TTC or another round of IVF. Whilst we wait for another round of IVF I wanted to try naturally so I didn’t feel like I was wasting a month. Does anyone know if I really should wait till after my next period or I can start ASAP?

So sorry about your miscarriage. I would start TTC again straightaway as your chances of conceiving naturally are slightly increased in the first couple of months following a miscarriage. It must be something to do with the fact that your uterus is in receptive mode or something. Hope you get a sticky one soon x

I’m really sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Not to put any pressure on you, or get your hopes too high, but I would try straight away if you can. This happened to me last year and I fell pregnant naturally for the first ever time just after. Our nurse gently encouraged us to do so (without actually saying it) and when I saw her for a scan a couple of months later she said that it is quite common after a miscarriage; I think maybe to do with hormone levels still being high. Might be worth a try but good to know you can start your next FET soon too x
