FET Cyclogest Vs utrogestan

Hiya everyone

I'm due to start a medicated FET 🤞 next week. Due to a shortage of cyclogest I've been prescribed utrogestan. Does anyone have any experience of this ? Is it just the same as cyclogest? The only thing I know of is that it is definitely a pessary.

I just switched due to the shortage. I was told not to worry and that they are very similar.

They came with a pack of applicators which I haven’t been using.

They have to go in the front not the back.

They are still messy but not as much gunge as the cyclogest although I have been lying down after taking them.

Thank you. Have had any side effects from them? The cyclogest gave me a really upset stomach x

I haven’t had any side effects from them but I didn’t have any with cyclogest either. xxx

Hi, they both contain progesterone 200mg it’s just the formulation that’s different between the 2 drugs but ultimately they will do the same job. Good luck with your FET x
