Im on day 7 of down reg with buserelin. I am having the worst pain with my bleed as I suffer with stage 4 endometriosis. Cocodamol is not even touching the sides of the pain .. what is safe to take at this point in my ivf cycle? My clinic is closed weekends 😔
Thank you so much in advance xxx

I would have thought that cocodamol is probably the strongest thing you can take during ivf treatment, I know were advised not to take any anti inflammatories. Would a hot water bottle help? I really hope it eases soon xx
Hi Emma_16x. Best to check with a doctor, but definitely no anti inflammatories such as ibuprofen. Make sure the Co-codamol doesn’t constipate you which would add to your discomfort. Hope you soon feel better. Diane
My endometriosis nurse prescribed me oral morphine which i normally take one 5ml dose during a bad flare and thats the only thing that helps, tried checking with my local pharmacy but they said take ibuprofen and i know i read not to take anti inflammatory like you said. Will oral morphine solution be ok for one night? Thank you so much for replying
Thank you for your advice. Unfortunatly our IVF clinic is closed weekends so had noone to call, I have my heat pad on full and normally reach for the naproxen but know this isnt reccomended with IVF. X
Hope the pad helps, you poor thing. Keep off the naproxen if pos. see what clinic says in the morning. Thinking of you. Diane
Hi Emma, i’m the same. I got stage 4 endometriosis, rheumatoid and SLE. If all flare ups together I don’t know what to do. My GP has prescribed cocodamol 30/500 for me to take but ususaully it doesn’t touch my pain. Not looking forward for AF to arrive 😞
Oh bless you! The pain really is something else isnt it! Since my surgery i have been lucky to escape daily pain just flare up on my period! Hopefully my down reg will settle it now. Wishing you all the luck 💖
