Starting round 2 on Sunday long protocol with buserelin and menopur last time was short. Just wondered did you inject buserelin in the morning or evening my clinic said it’s up to me but just wondered what anyone else did. I don’t have a lot of hope which is making me sad tbh but here we go again xx

I’m sorry you’re feeling sad, sending hugs ❤️ I’m on my first ever ivf cycle and have to start menopur injections tonight. My clinic told me it’s better to do it in the evening. I didn’t ask why, but this suits me better as I will be more relaxed and won’t be rushing out to work and stuff. There is always hope, even though It’s hard to find sometime. Try to keep busy, and look after yourself. If I didn’t have my allotment to keep me occupied I don’t know where my mind would be!xx

Thank you Camkid for the kind words. This is what I’m trying to work out last time I stimmed in the morning I always felt like I was rushing as I had work, it’s probably all in my head xx

Clinic told me to inject Buserelin in the morning and Menopur in the evening. Buserelin are not painful but side effects are crazy, or at least for me. Just out of curiosity you had last time short protocol, did you use the same buserelin and menopur? Good luck 🤞♥️

I used menopur plus fyremadel. I just used buserelin as my trigger last time but I’m using gonasi for that this time. I asked about side effects and the nurse said there shouldn’t be any from the buserelin but I’ve read very different on this forum so I’m expecting it, not looking forward to that bit. Sorry to hear you had a rough time with it xx

I did Buserelin at 8.30am and then when I started Menopur, I did it at 9.30pm every day

I did my buserelin in the morning and stims when added in, I did in the evening.xx

Hi my clinic have always said buserelin in the morning before 11am. Strange how clinics differ. Best of luck to you. I know how tough it is emotionally x

Hi, I was the same short to start and then this time round long protocol on Buserlin & Menopur, and had egg collection Wednesday.

My clinic said to do it my jabs at night so I did buserlin at 8:30 and when I started stims did them 15 minutes after.

Hi IMax thank you for the info that’s good to know. How did you find the long compared to the short? I hope your egg collection went well. My short was a disaster so I hope it goes better this time but my hope is minimal it always seems to be bad news never good xx

It was ok, I found the buserlin really easy to take, I did feel a bit fussy headed with it but as soon as I started the menopur it cleared .Egg collection was better this time round, on short protocol I got 10 eggs, 3 fertilised and on long 18 eggs, 10 fertilised.

Just hoping some make it to day 5 as we only had one make it last time and it was low grade.

Provisional transfer is Monday and I find out tomorrow if it’s on or not so pretty apprehensive.

Try and stay positive, fingers crossed this is both our lucky rounds. Xx
