Down reg scan

Hi this is my first ever cycle and I am on the long protocol…been on buserelin for 2 weeks and had my scan and just been told my lining is to thick to start menopur…I feel as if I have already started to fail…and it’s only the beginning 😥😩

Did anyone experience this?? They increased my dosage of buserelin and booked me for another scan next week …I had my normal period and I’m still spotting…so not sure why it wasn’t thin enough…..am so scared that they will cancel the cycle…time is not on my side 😢😩….has anyone else had this?

Hi zzko. Hopefully an extra week with increased dosage will do the trick. It happens I'm afraid, often ending with having to down regulate for longer. Fingers crossed! Diane

Thank you

Don't panic, you haven't failed at all, its just your body trying to get used to all these new drugs and experiences. A week can make so much difference and this does happen its not unusual. All will be good. Park it as a hurdle that you are going to overcome and lots of positive thinking. You have to think of IVF like a hurdle race, this time next week when you are starting stims you will be feeling all positive again! Good luck x

I’m in the same boat at the minute only I haven’t even had my period 😩 Iv been down regulating for nearly 3 weeks now and dr has just started me on progesterone to try and induce a bleed. They may just keep you on buserelin longer and maybe wait for your next period. So frustrating isn’t it, Iv had just about enough now xx

*Update*

Had my scan yesterday and my lining was fine for me to move on to menopur….but as usual for me there is always something…apparently my fibroids are now a bit of a concern…had two options …stop this cycle and do an hsg scan and then start again the cycle after …or carry on and freeze embryos and then do the hsg scan…I opted for the latter so am now on menopur…this journey is not easy 😩😩😩

Eurgh how frustrating for you! I think that was the right decision to keep going as the fibroids should only impact post transfer.. as you know I have 3 in the freezer but now need a big op for my fibroids so if you have any questions shout! xx

Thanks …:I have had 2 myomectomies and I knew they were back but they were small ….but now they are saying they are concerned 🙆🏽…..praying that we will have a lot of embryos to freeze!!!
