Hit a Wall Not Moving Forward

Hiya Everyone,

I have hit a wall with my treatment. Having had my 1st fresh cycle end of last year( which failed) but we do have 4 frozen though, my clinic seem to just want to rush me straight into a frozen cycle.

I had a recent Hycosy which was recommended by my GP, just to check things out. I had to badger the clinic for this. When all was well with this they just said my next consult. ‘You have some good frozen embryos so there should not be any problems’ I have had no blood test for two years since starting my journey. I had to point this out to my consultant. He then fumbled around saying oh yes I can see this and said they would get me in for a full blood screen. Now I have Not heard anything for 4 weeks! I just feel like they are not interested. Unless of course I said I was ready to proceed straight to a frozen transfer.

Thinking of changing clinics. I have an autoimmune disorder and was treated for low vitamin D by my GP at the beginning of the year. Which I believe may have been low during my fresh cycle. (No one tested) until I started to suffer symptoms.

Sorry for the long story. I just do not know where to go next. Feel lost and lack trust in my current clinic.

❤️❤️ if anyone can offer some advise I would be greatful

I think u are doing the right thing!

The consultants will usually point to embryo quality in stead of doing proper investigations. I think they just find this to be a numbers game especially if u have frozen embies.

What auto immune conditions is this if u dont me asking. I couldnt do my labs at the gp because of covid and in a few months my ths doubled. Consultant is sure had nothing to do with mmc but i dont buy it. So i would follow my heart and do your labs before fet. Xxx

Hi, sounds very familiar to me. Had the same after miscarriage. Linked to pregnancy according to my endochrino and the high level could have been one of the reasons for the miscarriage.

Hiya,

I have have Crohn’s disease. Only mild in which I manage myself without steroids. I have had steroids for it in the past however I am currently not in a flare up so steroids would not help I don’t think. Gp treated the low vitamin D levels because this can be a result of Crohns and is a common along with other vitamin deficiency’s

I have read of some experts recommending anti body test as well as others test. I just feel the clinic have not done anything to check all is ok with hormones, thyroid etc these are all a factors that can affect whether you have success or not.

Xx

Hi, i would definitely change clinic. Also, not sure what auto-immune problem you have but I am surprised that vitamin D is a treatment. Normally, you need to take medication for auto immune issues. I am not a doc but I know several people with autoimmune problems (including myself) and all of them are taking proper medication rather than just some extra vitamins.

Also, maybe you can look into steroids for your transfer.
