OHSS update & moving forward

So I took your advice and called the clinic to have another scan after my OHSS symptoms seemed to come back with a vengeance. I had felt much better, but over the last 2 weeks the pain had come back, I was super bloated and finding it difficult to walk. I really crashed on Thursday, just felt so awful so called the clinic. They booked me in for a scan today. I rested up over the weekend and am feeling a lot better. They've said that my ovaries are back to normal size (they were just under 10cm after EC) and that everything looks good. She said there was some fluid there and thinks I actually may have ovulated!!! For someone who doesn't ovulate and had to endure clomid I can't believe I actually might have ovulated this month with no drugs!

Although it's a bit frustrating that they can't say why my symptoms came back, I'm relieved to see that things are getting back to normal. I'm hoping that if I take it easy over the next few weeks I'll be fine once I get back to work and the school term starts. Have my follow up appointment on 29th August too. Feel like it will be good to know what is going to happen next in our treatment (FET), but then try to forget about things for a while. TTC & IVF have been all consuming for so long now, I would love to just switch my brain off from it for a little bit.

I would love to get back to running and the gym, but don't want to push myself just yet, especially as a walk seemed to set me back in my recovery. Ah well, I guess I'll just have to be patient for a little longer. We're good at that ladies aren't we?! Xx wishing you all love, luck & positivity wherever you are on your journey. Xx

Hi NsKaz. Gosh! You've certainly had an extremely rough ride, but so pleased to hear that finally things are slowly getting back to normal again. Yes, be careful with the exercising, perhaps just gentle walks for now and keep up with the water intake for a while. Sounds like a bit of a lecture but obviously we want you better again. Thinking of you. Diane

What a journey you've had, glad to read things are looking a bit more positive! Definitely take each days as it comes and maybe just try and enjoy short walks for a while so you still feel like your exercising. It sure does become so consuming, hope you've got a few nice things to look forward to, lots of luck for your apt xx
