Just wondering if anyone can advise me. This is my 8th day of buserelin injections and I am having hot and cold sweats at night, feeling sick in the evening, very tired and emotional. Is this right?
Also does anyone know when I should expect my period on this medication?
This long protocol really does feel long. Last time I didn’t have buserelin so this part is new to me. I know what to expect when I start the next injection.
Thank you xx

Yes it is unfortunately! I felt completely rubbish on it, like I had a hangover without the party. My period was around 4 days late. However once you get onto stims you'll feel a bit more normal. Hang on in there!xx
Thank you Hun. On my paperwork the nurse thinks it will arrive tomorrow??? I felt crap with the stims but I think it’s because I didn’t drink enough water??? Xx
Hi there, I’m on day 23 of the lovely buserelin injections!
My period came around 4 days later than expected. I’m getting lots of headaches, tiredness and tummy aches too... hopefully only another 6 days or left of taking it.
Poor you! I’m having the night sweats now, was tired at the beginning but that seems to have passed. I’m on day 18 of injections and only started my period last night (9 days late). Nurses said it’s normal.
To pre warn you though mine is not like my normal period (everyone’s different) but it came on quickly, heavily and rather painfully. Normally I spot for a few days before and have mild cramps. The good thing is that the bloating and discomfort I had before it started has massively reduced. 😊 I’m calling the clinic today but think my first scan and starting stims will be Monday 🤞 good luck to you- I hope the symptoms subside soon xx
I keep walking into door handles and being clumsy! I had a migraine and went to bed at 8pm to wake up to inject and then back to bed. Woke up at 1am and couldn't sleep till 5am!
Snapping at my husband like crazy. I'm on a work trip next week and bet he can't wait to get rid of me! I'm not one to wish my life away but feeling really crap and only on injection 6. Got to try to keep the eye on the prize even though a horrific period will arrive soon. I'm away day 29 to 32 and need to be able to get out of bed so hoping its going to come before Sunday.
Well i woke up in a foul mood, shouted at everyone!!! Then luckily had a busy day. But now I feel like I have been run over! Going to have a soak in the bath and hopefully feel better tomorrow. I have to inject in the morning so I have to make sure I prepare it the night before otherwise I will forget. No period arrived today. I suffer from really heavy periods so it can’t be any worse than normal hopefully?
Tomorrow is day 10 of injections and I am with you hoping for a period to get something else to look forward to (like scan dates etc).
I just feel like I am getting on my husbands nerves keep being grumpy and emotional? I am sure they don’t get it?? Xx
I think at this point they have to suck it up. I burst out crying after running around like a whaling banshee yesterday afternoon as i overheated the babies bottle and then walked into yet another door handle. I think i remember this stage last time. I tried to lock myself away as it felt uncontrollable. It's not for long, we can do this!
Get all the hot baths in now before they are banned. I went for massages aswell during this stage just to try to left my mood. Got reflexology booked in on the 15th. Seems too far away
Oh a massage!! I will put that on the list for Valentine’s Day! My period started today so got baseline scan booked for Monday. Your poor door handles lol. You should wrap bubble wrap around them to save you both!!
Yeah cramming in the baths too!! I have to lock myself away too sometimes. I know it’s strange but sometimes a bit of solitude helps doesn’t it along with some crap tv!!! Have a good day hun xxx
