Post biopsy experience

Hi all

Hope you’re all ok 😀 I had the triple biopsy on Thursday for the ERA/EMMA/ALICE tests and they advised me to go cold turkey on the meds as I didn’t need them anymore.

I felt ok yesterday but today I feel quite sore, lethargic and just a bit rubbish. They also said I’d have a bleed soon and I was just wondering how soon I should expect a bleed? Ask did any of you feel off after a biopsy?

How was your experience can you tell le a bit more from beginning

I was pretty nervous but the biopsy itself was over quite quickly. It’s a bit painful but nothing too major and I felt fine after it was done. Took buserelin injections for 4/5 weeks as well as oestrogen tablets 3 times a day and progesterone pessaries for the last 5 days xx

Hi for me it was exactly the same as after a failed cycle. Because you stop medication and get period symptoms within 7 days. I always feel funny after stopping meds but usually back to normal within 48hrs x

Ah thank you! I just feel a bit drained and crampy. Like I’m about to come on so I think I’ll probably have a bleed soon xx

Hi Catlady, I had this test in August. The biopsy itself for me was very painful but I had no after effects (apart from feeling a bit emotional and sorry for myself, but like you I had been on buserelin, oestrogen and progesterone so I think it was just a build up of everything). I usually have a period within a couple of days of stopping progesterone and this was the case after having the biopsy. Im sure once you come on youll start feeling a bit more normal again, I usually do. My result was all fine apart from needing an extra 12 hours progesterone. Hoping to start another cycle soon to have a FET to try this out! Hope you get something useful from your results xx
