Heavy, very painful period, whilst on Buserelin

Hi all

Did any of you have a really painful and heavy period when injecting Buserelin?

This is my day 28 period have started the injections on day 21 and although they are usually heavy for a day or two, I usually have cramps too but today is unbearable!

Is it worse due to the injections and something to do with the lining?

I found my medical induced bleeds with buserelin and other meds are a lot worse than normal too unfortunately. It does ease off. All I can suggest is a warm bath, hot water bottle, pain killers (no ibuprofen). Hopefully it eases off soon.xx

Thank you so much. I’ve taken paracetamol throughout the evening and have a hot water bottle in situ!

I usually have fairly heavy bleeds and yes I get cramps but the paracetamol and bottle usually sort it within an hour or so!

Nothing seems to be touching this and it’s definitely heavier too.

Thank so much! I definitely found it pretty unbearable....you can take codeine if you need something stronger!!xxx

Yes me. I’m currently coming to the end of my period. I started my injections(supercur) on the 26th. So I’m now on day 31. But a couple of days ago I was in so much pain it was unbearable it felt like labour but with out the breaks 😔and my bleeding was really really heavy. This is my 9th cycle and I don’t remember it being this painful before. Thankfully the pain eased off yesterday and I’m fine today I’m not sure why it was so bad this time

We are at the same stage then as I started my injections on the 25th!

I have my baseline scan on Monday- 🤞🏻 I can’t start the menopur injections on Tuesday x

My baseline scan is Monday also🤞🏼hoping for transfer the week commencing the 21st depending on how I’m responding with meds I haven’t had a problem before so fingers crossed everything goes smoothly for transfer I just wish it was time already I’m very impatient lol xx
