Stop buserelin

Hello

I’m new here. I start my IVF few weeks ago and after 3 weeks on buserelin I went for my scan last Wednesday and Tye nurse said for stop with the medication because it gave a ovarian cyst. The nurse said for I back when my period come about a month. But today I start bleeding (brown) I called to the hospital but they never explain what’s happening.

Is there someone had the same problem? How long after stop buserelin, after taking for 3 weeks the period normally come ?

I had a cancelled cycle and took buserelin only for 26 days before cancelling because my lining stayed thick, I can’t remember exactly but I think about 3 1/2 to 4 weeks before my period arrived, it felt like I was premenstrual for an age and I felt dreadful but it eventually did come. Hang in there and hopefully better luck for you next time xx

I was 17 days on buserelin, my period came last weekend and stopped medication last Wednesday because the cyst and today bleeding I little and I don’t know if this bleeding is normal, the nurses never say nothing only for I book my scan when my period came. Maybe bleeding I little after stopped buserelin is normal, what I don’t know is if it means something like my cyst is growing or not..my period suppose to come only in 3 weeks...

I’m not sure, I spotted quite a lot while on it and a couple of days after stopping but then I had to wait for my body to ovulate after the buserelin had suppressed it and then wait for my period. I have no idea if it’s anything to do with the cyst. Perhaps give your clinic a call tomorrow and see if they can answer your questions x
