Bleeding after septate uterus surgery

I had surgery on Wednesday to remove septate in uterus and coil fitted to help aid recovery before TTC again. I was wondering if anyone has had this done and can advise when the pain and bleeding is likely to stop? I don’t know if what I’m experiencing is linked to surgery or to the coil being fitted. I really don’t want to keep relying on painkillers to manage the constant ache in my back and legs.

Hi there,

I just wanted to check in with you to see where you were on your journey. I have had this surgery done twice. The first time they didn't remove enough bc a polyp got in the way and caused some bleeding. The second one was last June and I have since had another mc and the Dr thinks I may need a third surgery bc it looks like some grew back hoping you have a good outcome

Hi, so sorry to hear of your loss. I needed 2 surgeries to completely remove the septate and had in coil in for 3/4 months to help with healing. We were cleared to try again in July but haven’t been in the right position to start to TTC again (due to holidays, weddings, engagements, family illness). The timing hasn’t been quite right. We are now thinking about starting again in the next month or two but get nervous about it all. What’s the next steps for you?

Hey there. I have to have a 3d ultrasound to measure the septum to see if it requires another surgery. It divided my uterus in half before so it's certainly not that big but it's definitely there 😭. So then I guess we'll do the surgery (HOPEFULLY ASAP) and after I heal do another fet.

I genuinely didn’t think it could come back so quickly. But of a revelation for me. I’m trying to loose weight to get on the ivf list. They don’t know if I’ll need ivf for sure as could happen naturally. Hopefully you get your surgery soon. Let me know how you get on. X
