Hello, I am a newbie and had my first transfer on Tuesday. I am doing FET only so have never had a fresh transfer.
Due to having major fibroid surgery a year ago which caused scar tissue I had problems with my lining thickening so am on double dose estrogen plus estrogen patches and progesterone pessaries.
Has anyone else been on such high dose?
Is it normal in the 2ww to feel really tired and have lower back pain that feels like it's in your kidneys. I am trying not to read into every cramp & twinge but it is really hard.
My test date is 1st April....great date to be given 😂 xx

I’m on double dose oestrogen tabs as my lining wasn’t thick enough. Feeling very tired too but not had my transfer yet, it’s planned for Thurs this week. Good luck to you, will keep fingers crossed xx
I am having a transfer on Thursday too, good luck! Xx
Hi, I am having my first transfer on Thursday morning. I have had 4 previous FET cycles and 1 fresh cycle but all were cancelled as my lining was never thick enough. Taking high doses of Estrogen unfortunately didn’t work for me, it actually made my lining even thinner! My husband and I were devastated as we thought that was the one medication that would work on my lining. So we went back to natural cycles as my lining was always around 5mm and my doctor added a few things each cycle. After many trial runs something finally worked and we have made it to transfer! I am so excited and don’t know what to expect on Thursday. I didn’t know whether to smile or cry when I found out we could go ahead. I don’t want to think about the next steps too much or get my hopes up, I am just going to let things happen. I guess it’s the same feeling of uncertainty that you have in the 2WW, and it is so hard not knowing. I have my fingers crossed for you that all goes well! How soon did you clinic say they will test? I think my doctor said they will do one at 10 days after transfer.
Aww we can be cycle buddies! I really hope it works out for u. We were really lucky to have a successful first fresh cycle in 2013 and got four frozen embies. This will be our first and last FET so a lot riding on it. Our storage runs out in April and we have decided to not continue it and just give it one shot as we have our lucky 5 year old son. We are planning to have 2 transferred as long as they survive the thaw, will await the call from the embryologist tomorrow. They usually ask u to test two weeks later I think, but it’s a while since we last did it. I really hope u get your little miracle soon like we did xx
Fingers crossed for you tomorrow. I have only had one embie transferred as I'm not able to have 2 due to my operation last year so can't risk multiple birth. We still have 13 left in the freezer x
Yay we can be cycle buddies! Congratulations on your successful cycle in 2013 and having your son. I really hope you will have a successful transfer this time too. I am hoping we get our little miracle soon, but just feeling grateful to have a chance at FET. We were looking into Gestational carriers and adoption because of my lining, and now suddenly we are approved for a transfer! I’m so excited! Wishing you all the very best on Thursday and keep in touch xx
Just to make things a bit confusing, I am using a new account now and have closed the other one, as this account is more up to date. So I will post this again so it’s easier to reply if you would like to x

Aww hope all goes well tomorrow, we are booked in for 10:30 so will await the phone call in the morning. I’m full of cold at the minute so hoping it doesn’t affect things. Will be thinking of u and sending good luck vibes x
Thank you. My appointment is at 10:30am as well! I am in Australia so it’s Thursday morning here and it is nearly 9am now. I will be thinking of you and don’t let the cold worry you. Keep warm and hope your feeling a bit better by tomorrow x
Hope it all went well? I’m in uk so awaiting call off embryologist and then a couple more hours to wait eek! What do u have planned for rest of the day? I’m just going to try and sit and relax xx
Thank you. We went in for the transfer and it turns out my doctor wants us to wait until tomorrow now, which will be Friday here at 9:15am. He said we would have a much better success rate if we waited and they gave us a picture of the embryo they have chosen. So it turns out your going in first for the transfer
Perfect, I have planned to do the same and just relax at home for most of the day and not do too much, not lift anything heavy etc. and eat healthy warm foods and keep warm. I will go out in the afternoon for a nice walk with my husband, and then we will have a pretty relaxing weekend as well, because we are normally racing around getting things done. Good luck for today! Not long now xx
Aw fingers crossed for tomorrow then. Ours thawed ok, 1 didn’t survive the thaw, 1 was grade d and the other 2 stayed at grade b so we now how 2 grade bs on board. Just chilling out at home now xx
Thank you. Yes all went well with the transfer. Now we wait for our little embryos to do their thing. Fingers crossed we both find out we are pregnant. Xx
