I hope you are all doing okay 😊. I am currently undergoing transfer number 5, I am on a medicated FET cycle. Today I have a day 14 scan which they have seen a follicle (18.4 in size) I am obviously not supposed to have a follicle on a medicated cycle but the clinic don’t seem concerned and have told me to start progesterone tomorrow morning and transfer is booked for Monday. They have also done a progesterone blood test today to see if my levels are high, if they are they will cancel. I should know this afternoon or latest tomorrow am.
I am just after some reassurance/ experience really of anyone that has had a follicle during medicated cycle and transfer went ahead?
Thanks in advance
Xx

It may be a follicle left over from previous menstrual cycle - sometimes they can take a bit longer to resolve [ shrink] They are checking your blood to see if it is a functioning [ producing hormones ] follicle or just a slow to shrink follicle Fingers crossed your treatment cycle can continue
Thank you so much for your reply JA-fnuk I really appreciate it. So bloods came back below 1 so I haven’t ovulated already so it could be a cyst or a left over follicle like you’ve said 🙏. I’m going ahead with transfer Monday and if I ovulate in the meantime then she said it shouldn’t matter. But I also shouldn’t ovulate as I start progesterone tomorrow am! Hopefully it all works out 🙏 xx
yeah I’ve had this a few times as long as bloods are lay they just go ahead it can be an empty follicle or a collapsing follicle from last cycle as long as not producing the hormones that would knock things out they don’t bother. I’ve had 2 successful medicated FETs and I can’t remember if this happened on either successful one tbf but it has never bothered my clinic xx
