Endo all gone 👍

Sorry for late update.

I was in the hospital 10 hours yes 10 hours!

I was admitted at 7 am and called to change into gown. Then called at 8 am to sit on a waiting room on a arm chair.

I had to do a urine sample pregnancy test oh haha. And given stockings.

Then I was called to see my endo consultant. We went through it he asked if my symptoms were still there like by magic they would’ve gone 🤨 we agreed I would see my fertility doctor for a follow up afterwards.

Waited another hour in a waiting room and got talking to other ladies one next to me was also having endo surgery 😊

Luckily I was second on list and was collected for theatre at 9.40 am.

The theatre staff were lovely.

I went to theatre just before 10 am.

Surgery went on for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Woke up in recovery room at 11.50 am.

In severe pain and was judged by staff for daring to want so much pain killers; I was made to feel like a wimp and when I kept scoring my pain to be 7 her reply? “ you just said that!” Eventually I felt okay and saw my endo consultant and he told me in basic terms what he had done; this is the good news part; he managed to clear all my endo 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I have 5 incisions.

After the pain I was wheeled into a ward; I was made to be sat up and was told I needed to sit up and walk away straight away. I’d only just come in from recovery!!!

I was offered a drink and snacks. On trying to eat ( probably too soon) and told her I felt sick. I was told it was all

The painkillers I had!

They agreed to lower my bed and I went to sleep.

I came around and felt better so ate my toast and drank my tea.

She asked if I felt sick still I said no.

I got a nurse to help me get to the toilet ; this is where my stay became extended.

I bled heavily from vagina and diarrhoea come out 😳 this has been happening since my miscarriage in last July and one of the reasons the surgery was put forwards . He was supposed to check it during my lap.

So I got a nurse and told her what happened who went to speak a dr. Well another nurse cams trying to throw me out of the room!!! I had to really fight and insist I waited for the other nurse to let me know what the dr said 🤦🏽‍♀️ then she puzzled me what nurse 🤨 Eventually she found the nurse and was told the doctor was on their way; an hour later a doctor appeared. She was lovely and really listened to me when I told her what happened; and was very supportive. So much so she found my surgeon and wouldn’t let me go home till this had happened 👍 He has insisted that I see him because of this within a month originally I wasn’t due to see him ( even if I am better I have to go back) If it gets worse I need to go back sooner.

I had to wait another hour whilst they gathered my discharge notes, dressings and meds; he has given me morphine to help with pain which is great 👍

I have to phone my fertility consultant secretary to arrange a follow up appointment I get really well with her.

My mum wasn’t told I was back from recovery when she saw me on the trolley! I had to text her to tell her I was okay.

We left hospital at half 4! And encountered road accidents which made the journey take over 2 hours as opposed to the normal 1 hour it usually takes.

At least it wasn’t deep endo and has ALL been treated. I’m shattered.

Sorry for such a long post...x

Bless ya. Sounds really promising this time hun. Really hope they can get to bottom of this odd issue with the 💩from front. You've, had a rough time lovely. 😘 hope your being looked after 😘💝

I'm fine hun apart from lack of sleep also drs can't find any reason as to why there's so much protein and blood in urine but the renal team will, be reviewing me in august to come up with a, potential plan providing everything goes well they won't do anything in pregnancy and wait till afterwards. I'm an odd ball with things going on but test results fine

😘💗

in reply toAllWeNeedIsluv

Thank you.

So gross I literally have no dignity at all left 😆It’s been happening ever since I miscarried. The doctor was so thorough and wouldn’t let me leave until she spoke to my surgeon and she said they were both insistent I see him in a month; even if I feel okay , I definitely got my orders from the docs 😂 considered myself truly told 😆

My hubby has been very attentive; bless him I came home to a spotless house with tea all done 🙂

Jamie and Hannah have picked their keys today for their lovely new home ❤️

My goodness what a stressful time it must b for you. It is good that they are monitoring you closely and I really hope they get to the bottom of this soon . It must be such a worry for you to not know why it’s happening. You are both in the best hands 🙂 When are you due? xoxo

I know I remember you posting about it before. Needs sorting definitely. 😐

Bless your hubby that's good of him. Love it when the men look after us it's so lovely ❤

Congrats on the 🏠 hope they live a happy life there.

I was stressed initially when they found these problems and the waiting for kidney scan etc. But now tbh I'm ok seen as though all the tests are ok and my bp is under control. I'm hoping it's just one of those things and it'll clear after pregnancy I know the blood in urine is something that's always there since past two years I personally think it's endo in my bladder that's, been missed (I seen something on the cytosocopy that didn't look right but they said it was fine) but hoping this protein just disappears and I'll be a mystery. I'm due 29th Oct midwife does think they'll bring me early but we'll see

😘😘💖💝

Glad you got sorted today Jess - hoping it stays away for a good long time! Good luck with the fertility consultant, but until then wishing you a speedy recovery! Look after yourself xx

in reply toWeeMrsH

Thank you.

I’m so happy the endo has been all removed from pod, uterosacral and rectum. 🙌🏻 One issue to now tackle ( tmi diarrhoea front end been happening since my miscarriage 🙈) he is insisting he wants to see him in a months time unless it gets worse in that case it’s sooner.

I’ve phoned my fertility doctor secretary today and she is arranging an appointment ( should be 3 months as that is what the endo specialist has suggested) no point in seeing him till it is all sorted. 👍

Hopefully it’ll be all systems go again soon 👍

I hope the pregnancy is going well. I’m so happy you got your happy ending😍 xoxo

It’s all sounding positive finally for you Jess!! You’ve had it very tough.

I’ve got my 12 week scan tomorrow- very nervous to see if baby is still doing okay as I bled for nearly 3 weeks from 8.5 to 11.5 weeks. Last scan was 9 days ago so 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Hoping the clot is clear now! xx

in reply toLu1u

Thank you. I was so spaced out yesterday! It was all removed from pod, uterosacral and rectum. 🙌🏻 definitely had an impact on fertility.

I’ve got one more symptom to sort out which I’m seeing the surgeon ( originally I was going to be discharged to my fertility doctor but because the symptom is so severe I have to see him in a months time and if it gets worse sooner😳)

I’ve phoned my fertility doctor secretary who will book an appointment to see him in 3 months ; that’s what my endo specialist wanted me to do.

Hopefully I can start trying again soon .

Do let me know how you get on too and any advice you want ie laparoscopy ask away! xoxo

Well done Jess- that’s such great news it was all removed!! - Good riddance to it lol!!

It sounds like you have a really good action plan in place now- regarding your other symptom and then the fertility specialist..one step at a time- but well done you for being so brave and proactive about it all- you’ll win out in the end! stay strong! 💪🏼

look after yourself- and wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery!

(I’ll probably be pestering you with lots of stupid Lap questions b4 my op lol!)

Take care and rest up!

😘 xxxx

in reply toLu1u

Thank you ☺️

I’m not a very patient person haha 😆 I need to get all the balls rolling 😏

I think it always feels better with a plan of action 👍

The endo will grow back again but hopefully not so quickly as it’s all be got this time🤞🏻

Exactly! I’m so happy all the endo is gone from pod, uterosacral and rectum 🙌🏻 I know it was affecting my fertility 🤦🏽‍♀️ and causing so many health issues.

One more issue to fix ( it’s gross) I need to see my surgeon again in a month time; originally I was being discharged to my fertility doctor.

I’ve phoned the fertility doctor secretary and she will arrange an appointment to see him in 3 months time which is what the endo specialist wanted me to do. 👍

Hopefully it’s all systems go again soon!!! 😁

Hope you are feeling a bit better; I know you were upset and can understand this journey is unbelievably difficult. I think it gets to us all you are not alone. All we can tell ourselves is the baby is worth all the fighting & tears 😍 xoxo

Yes it was a long day had some complications post surgery.

But all in all it was very positive and worth it 👍

I’m now seeing my endo specialist in a months time over a severe issue that happened post surgery all thanks to a doctor on the ward that insisted I couldn’t go till she spoke to my surgeon about it 👍all being dealt with properly at last a long time coming 🙈

I’m delighted that all of endo has been removed from pod, uterosacral and rectum 😘

I phoned my fertility doctor secretary to arrange a appointment to see him in 3 months time. 👍

How are things with you? Hope you are okay considering. I’m so sorry to hear about your mum I’m wishing her well ❤️ xoxo xoxo

Well it certainly will be all worth it when you're feeling better and great that you've got your follow up appt sorted too!

My mum saw the surgeon last week and they reckoned around 3 weeks until surgery so fingers crossed. Was all quite emotional, seems very real now but we'll get there! Thanks for asking, that's really kind!

As for me, I had my baseline scan for treatment yesterday and that was traumatic enough. The nurse could see a "sac" (as I could) and although I told her I couldnt be pregnant my heart was going 10 to the dozen and I had to do a pregnancy test.....negative of course. Just felt sick and teary afterwards, urrghhh. They think its just a little fluid or blood clot from my recent bleed so hopefully it resolves for my next scan next week. Dont know why Im surprised nothing with me is ever straight forward....Im just a pain! Ha ha ha😂😂xx

in reply toCinderella5

Thank you; strike whilst iron is hot 😂

Oh god how awful to get hopes up; they really shouldn’t say things like to us without being certain 🤦🏽‍♀️ Especially when they know how much we want it no words 🤦🏽‍♀️

You and me both 😆Dam bodies hey make things so difficult for us 🙈This journey is sure full of bumps. 🤦🏽‍♀️Hope it’s all clear by next scan fingers crossed for you and you can proceed to the next stage 🤞🏻 Do keep us posted over this and your mum 🙂

Good luck for your mum and her surgery glad its not long to wait ❤️❤️❤️ xoxo

Thanks Jess! I guess they had to get me to do the test so my hopes were alerted to something and even if they hadnt said it, I could see it myself! Its my old NHS clinic so I know the staff really well, was just a heart in mouth moment where you so want to be one of those miracle girls....Im not that blooming lucky! Ha ha ha Yes our stupid bodies really do give us a hard time! Hopefully you have overcome most of your bumps now and you get a smoother journey after you've recovered!xx

in reply toCinderella5

I think we have both had enough bumps!!! this has to be both our year where it corrects itself and we get rewarded for our persistence and patience 😍 xoxo

in reply tocryst4l

Thank you. 🙂

My hubby is home and is taking very good care of me; came home yesterday to a spotless house ❤️

I’m in quite a bit of pain; I think he removed a lot of endo -5 incisions ; he also sent me home with morphine ( rare to get that from hospital ) it has really knocked the pain out 😁

I’m so glad the endo has been all removed from pod, uterosacral and rectum. 🙌🏻

I’m not quite out of the woods yet but still making huge progress. 🙂

hopefully the endo specialist will sort the other issue out ; diarrhoea from front end gross I know 🙈 thank god the doctor on the ward took me seriously and insisted I couldn’t leave till she spoke to my surgeon ( it has been ongoing since my miscarriage but no one has done anything 🤦🏽‍♀️) Good news is he is insistent I see him in a months time or sooner if it gets worse. I’m actually happy it happened at hospital even tho it caused a huge delay because it’s now finally being dealt with 👍

I’ve phoned my fertility doctor secretary today to make an appointment in 3 months time after this is sorted out 👍

How are you? ( silly question considering) xoxo

I feel very positive; endo has all be removed 🙌🏻and the other issue ( faeces front end 😩) which has been ongoing since my miscarriage is finally being dealt with 🙌🏻

I feel like I’m getting somewhere 👍

Im happy it happened at the hospital even tho it caused a huge time delay. the doctor on the ward was so supportive and wouldn’t let me leave till she spoke with my surgeon ( who a few months ago called it old blood without examining me yeah very patronising to imply I wouldn’t know the difference 🙄he may not be a peoples person but I have to admit he’s a bloody good surgeon ) and after speaking to him he’s very insistent I have to see him in a month if it gets worse I see someone sooner.

I have phoned my fertility doctor secretary today and she’s arranging an appointment to see him after this has been dealt with 😊

Really glad the surgery went well and it’s all over now! You must be soooo relieved!

But I’m so sorry you’ve been through all of this! It’s awful enough to have a surgery (we’re not used to being in hospital everyday, like nurses!) so you really didn’t need the additional stress from the nurses and the whole chaos!

At least you’re home now and recovering. Take it easy and be kind to yourself!

I’d be interested to hear about your next app with the fertility doctor! 😊

All the best!! Xx

in reply toMaggieBluee

Thank you.

My hubby is home and is taking good care of me ❤️ came home to a spotless house 🙂

Some of the nursing staff were quite rude. I did have a few complications after surgery; lots of severe pain, issues with my blood pressure that took 2 hours to fix so I couldn’t leave recovery room for 2 hours 😳then the bleeding & diarrhoea from front end. Clearly a difficult pain in the backside patient!!! 😂 you have to laugh!

But seriously I am so delighted all the endo has been removed from my pod, uterosacral and rectum. Bloody skill full surgeon 👍

I’m so happy that the other issue is now being taken seriously even tho it caused a another time delay and attitudes with nursing staff over me hogging a bed 😂 how inconsiderate of me 😂😂😂

I have being having diarrhoea leaving my front end since my miscarriage and no one has done much about it or believed me. Like I would lie..😡In a way I’m glad it happened there. Thankfully I saw a good doctor on the ward and she didn’t let me leave till she spoke to my surgeon and I’m seeing him within a month to deal with it 🙂

I have arranged a follow up with my fertility Doctor.

How are things with you? xoxo

MaggieBluee profile image
MaggieBluee in reply to

Hi Jess! Sorry for late reply - manic week!

How are you feeling? Hope you’re recovering well! 😊

Not much has changed with me really. An advice that I got from a doctor was to go to a infertility clinic first, as they wouldn’t recommend removing endo because it could have a detrimental effect on my fertility (it’s on my ovary and uterus). So I’m waiting to see a private clinic for a consultation. They might say that I DO need a surgery...

But I have to wait and see...!

Feels like I’m not moving anywhere atm, which is really frustrating 😣 But one thing that this whole journey thaught me is to BE patient!

All the very best in your recovery and the app with a fertility doctor!! 🤞🤞xxx

in reply toMaggieBluee

Don’t be silly you don’t need to apologise.

Oh patience that word... 🙈

Definitely wise to seek another opinion. 🙂

I had some endo removed from the back of my uterus ( it was on the outside ) so dependant on where it is and the work of a skilful surgeon I don’t see why it couldn’t be removed in theory. Mine boasted fertility and I conceived straight away ( I did miscarry) I wonder if that has been hindering fertility?

Thank you I’m okay in myself. But I’m really knackered and sleeping a lot. I haven’t had a bowel movement since my surgery a bit worried so I might call my nurse tomorrow and get checked over.

I will be seeing my endo surgeon in a months time to go over the other issue get it sorted and then go back to the wonderful world of TTC!! 🤪 xoxo

Bdgjdjd profile image
Bdgjdjd

Hope you don’t get pain again ❤️😍

Is your issue only endometriosis ? you did you have pcos ?

in reply toBdgjdjd

Thank you.

In answer to your question it is our only issue; mine grows on places that affect Fertility; pouch of Douglas, uterosacral. It also was on my rectum.

It’s my third lap within 13 months; I’ve had two laps this year within 4 months of each other. My endo got much worse after we conceived and miscarried after the first lap.

Hope all is going well with you xoxo

Bdgjdjd profile image
Bdgjdjd in reply to

If you don’t mind what the symptoms you have when you have endometriosis on pouch of douglas or uterosacral

What did you mean about uterosacral is it something related with endometriosis because i didn’t hear about it before!?

in reply toBdgjdjd

Feel free to ask away! Endo is so unknown.

These are the areas where my endo tends to grow.

The pouch of Douglas known as POD is the space between the rectum and uterus.

The uterosacral are the ligaments that hold the uterus in place.

I also have endo that grows on my rectum (bowel.)

I have many symptoms including ( long list alert!!)

-Pre period spotting ( pink, brown, red discharge)

-Severe period pain across that starts a over a week prior to my period feels like labour,

-Diarrhoea and constipation prior to and during my period,

-Heavy periods with huge blood clots,

-Chronic pain lower left side although sometimes it can switches to right side at its worse during the period ( used to think it was ovary pain because it seemed to be that “area”)

-Pain during deep sex ( deep sex big no no sorry tmi)

-Severe pain during simple pelvic examinations,

-Bleeding from rectum during my periods ( that is related to endo on rectum)

-Fatigue.

Endometriosis cannot be cured only managed as it is a long time chronic health condition and does regrow ( I’m really prone to recurrence according to my fertility doctor) 🙈

I don’t know , who’d be a women?! xoxo
