Endo specialist appointment update.

Hi everyone.

So I was at the hospital for 3 hours; turned up an hour early ( panicking I’d be late) then they were running half an hour late of course, I saw the nurse specialist who was really great; she wanted to know all my symptoms and didn’t seem phased by any; I have got her contact details and she said to call or email anytime I have any worries, then I saw the endo consultant and I really liked him too; he seemed very confident that he can remove all the endo from my bowel himself; says from what he’s been told it’s not deep endo only superficial but there is a lot hopefully that accounts for the pain and symptoms. I signed the paperwork and had my pre op.

The bad news is it’s 20-30 weeks wait and I don’t think I can in all honesty wait that long without trying; it maybe a complete waste of time but part of me wants to try again I don’t know. Such a difficult journey at times....

OMG. That's a super long time. I'm sure trying won't be implicated if it's just on your bowel did they remove any from any where else? Glad you hot on well with them that's a bonus when their on your side. Hopefully the op will come sooner but more so hopefully you'll be pregnant and you can have if after you've given birth 😘😘💝💝

Thank you my love 😊

It’s good to have the support I just feel a bit shocked by it all.

The endo was removed in pod and the endo on rectum was left.

With the other 2 laps I had 3 incisions the endo guy will make 4 incisions; makes me question if they missed any .

I’m not sure if I can conceive with the periods like mine; it starts and stops and sometimes I don’t have a proper period I’m not sure how that affects things perhaps it’s better trying with lower expectations xoxo

Yes I agree try but don't build hopes up but also the fact the endo has gone from pod maybe this will give you a better chance,

General lot will always miss endo have you seen the different colours of it it's most definitely all not recognizable to the untrained eye.

I'm really happy that your going to be treated by a specialist this next time.😉

Just try get on with life best you can try manage the endo naturally and hopefully nature will take it's course.

Thank you. You’re so positive and upbeat ; I wish I was more like that. How’s the pregnancy going? Has the sickness subsided? I hope it has 😘

Im sorry I was ranting a bit yesterday I think I was upset ; the nurse asked the pregnancy history so I had to declare the one I lost. It still has the ability to devastate me even 9 months on... 😭💔

I’ve emailed the nurse to check it’s ok to try; I think my fertility specialist said once I was under their care I might not be able to try for a baby. Fingers crossed she clears it 🤞🏻

It seems such a long wait to do nothing. And if I don’t fall I have another laparoscopy on the offering by an endo expert ; really not a lot to lose. There are definitely things I’m planning to do whilst I wait 😊the endo nurse thinks I do too much and take on too much; but I’m determined not to let this disease stop me from living my life 😘 xoxo

😂Thanks hun, it did subside but then these past two days iv had a migraine and that's caused vomiting, hopefully it will go soon so I can get out and enjoy this gorgeous weather.

Don't be sorry hun it will still get to you especially as the due date has just gone I was a Complete mess after my first loss and that same year lost another 2 I'm approaching that time when I lost them so I'm panicking naturally, losses really do plague future pregnancies. You'll never forget but as time goes it gets easier. 💗

Hopefully she'll give you the go ahead, your right it's a real long time not to try, your lap will be there waiting either way.

Your right endo is part of you not you part of it, live life to the maximum.

Your a fighter and you'll get there one way or another

💝💝😘😘

It’s good news apart from the waiting time...

I would try as well if I was in your position... what’s the worst that can happen? If you do get pregnant op gets delayed 😄. Or is there other disadvantages that I am missing (apart from possible disappointments of course).

Anyway, I am very happy that this is going to be sorted out for you fairly soon.

Good luck! 🍀

Thank you for replying. Hope the recovery is going well.

Technically it’s not on a place where fertility is meant to be affected but my periods start stop and sometimes hardly any bleeding so I know I’ve got very low odds of conception. I don’t think I stand a chance but it’s better than waiting around for an op dates think that’ll drive me more nuts. 😂 at least I have a fall back and supportive endo specialists xoxo

Have you tried accupuncture Jess with a fertility specialist? Just wondered if this would help your cycle and endo?

All good that things are progressing but if it was me I'd def be trying whilst waiting 👍🏻xx

Thank you.

I think I will try again it’s too long to wait around waiting for a date. If nothing happens I have surgery planned. ❤️

How are you? ( silly question I know) xoxo

Glad to hear that you have a good team looking after you Jess, makes all the difference as you know from previous experiences! Its an awfully long time to wait for surgery so completely understand your want to try again. Could you put your name down for a last minute cancellation, you never know what might come up though Im sure that will depend on work circumstances.....just an idea. I guess if the clinic has no objections to you trying then go for it!xx

Thank you.

They were very good shame the waiting list is so bad coz I think he’d do a really good job.

I’ve done that at pre op ; I said I’m free all school holidays ( I work in a school)

I emailed the endo nurse saying I want to try between now and surgery date.

How are you? xoxo

Hopefully she gets back to you with the correct answer! Lol

Im good thanks, just in limbo land at the moment with my dodgy (high) thyroid and prolactin results. If I cant get it sorted on the next set of bloods then its a referral to endocrinology for me....oh joy! Fingers crossed it doesnt come to that!xx

in reply to Cinderella5

Oh no hun I’m sorry to hear that. Nothing is ever easy or straightforward🤦🏽‍♀️it’s relentless.

When are your next bloods due? I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻xoxo
