Drinks in Social situations...?

Hi ladies, just wondering what you do in social situations when you're on ivf meds. I know I'm not supposed to have sugar between meals, and 1-4 drinks per week but only with meals, so going out to parties seems difficult. Can you drink anything besides water??? Seems like anything would have too much sugar....? I have a friends 30th coming up and also a hens. They know what I'm going through so there will be no pressure, I was just wondering what everyone else is doing? Thanks! Xxxx

How about a fruit cocktail ? I know there is sugar in fruit but at least u get one of your 5 a day. I have soda water with lemon but asked for it in a wine glass so I felt a little bit more part of it. Good luck with ur cycle xx

Hi bec what's the reason you can't have sugary drinks? Is it health related? I usually drink lime & soda, appletiser (it looks like wine!), non alcoholic beer or virgin cocktails xx

Are you on a restricted diet or special meds? I wasn't given the same advice about sugar. Anyway a few ideas - orange juice and soda, diet lemonade and lime, virgin mojito, ginger beer? Someone told me Aldi or Lidl (can't remember which) do a really good non-alcoholic rose! There are also some good non-alcoholic fruit ciders around, sometimes in pubs too x

I found a bottle of 0.5% alcohol chardonnay in tesco that actually tastes like wine!! And only 12 calories per 100 ml. 😃
