How to best prepare my body for ICSI IVF?

Hi, we finally had our first consult at the fertility centre yesterday.. my husband has azoospermia so yesterday was mainly taking a lot of blood tests from him.

They take 3 months to come back but the doctor is hopeful they will be able to extract sperm from him and then start ICSI IVF

So any tips of what I can be doing now to prepare my body and improve our chances of success?? TIA

I gave up alcohol and switched to decaf. Ate loads of eggs and avocados and orange juice and ate as healthy as possible with treats too. Occasional takeaways. I also switched to organic milk and meat and drank full fat milk. I did Accupuncture once a week. I had a large rose quartz I used to hold. I did yoga to relax. I took Zita West vitamins. My husband had slightly low morphology and took wellman fertility every day(I had to remind him a lot) and his sperm improved so much we could have standard ivf and not ICSI so that was a bonus although nerve racking waiting for the call to see if they had fertilised. I only had 6 eggs collected and only 4 fertilised so don’t worry about numbers too much. I was incredibly lucky and my first cycle was successful. Currently 38 weeks pregnant. Good luck xxx

I gave alcohol in March 2017 after my birthday, also stoped caffeine, changed to decaf tea and stopped eating chocolate, and I took seven seas pre pregnancy tablets every day, other than that I didn’t change anything else I are normally which included junk food lol. And I’m not active either apart from walking my dog, I tried to think positive all the time and believed in it and myself,

My husband also took tablets daily

We had our 2nd icsi cycle in July 2017 and was successful, my due date was 20/04 but he didn’t want to wait to meet his mummy and arrive 6th March 2018.

In my 2 weeks wait - I didn’t have a bath only shower, didn’t eat shellfish, or ice cream or any takeaways and took it easy had 2 weeks off work,

Wish you lots of luck for when you start your cycle xx

I recommend the book "It starts with the egg". The eggs which will be collected in 3 months time start growing now, so it's the perfect time to start healthy eating. Drink plenty of water, keep exercising and take folic acid or a pre-pregnancy vitamin x
