Tonight I have done my first injection of my second ICSI cycle. Not quite feeling as excited as the first time, just a mixture of feelings and feeling I need a science degree to mix the medication 😂
We started this journey in Sept 16 (I already knew I would need help to get pregnant). I had a laparoscopy last August and had a clip on one of my Fallopian tubes due to a hydrosalpinx , then the first cycle which failed in November.
Following this I was then told I needed another laparoscopy, because there was a hydrosalpinx in my other tube probably caused by the IVF drugs (or continue to the next cycle but with a reduced chance of success). As I would have to wait for a year to have this done, we paid to go private as did not want to waste another year at my age (37).
Along with sperm probs too, it’s been one hell of a journey already! However hubby has been on condensyl since Christmas with has improved things and we have some frozen as back up.
Anyway I’m ranting! I have read so many inspirational stories on here, that I thought I would join in for some support as you guys certainly seem to understand how blooming tough this is 😊xxx

Good luck lovely! You've been through the mill - hopefully this cycle will she all the hard work and stress pay off.
I'm on second cycle too and know what you mean about feeling less excited. Definitely feel like I am just going through the motions. I don't think it's really hit home that we're doing this again. Today was day 6 of stims so first scan tomorrow xxx
Wow - you've certainly been through the mill. Hopefully this is your time! I'm currently on day no 4 now of stims on my 4th and final cycle with my eggs. We've already been told that there is very little chance of it working but we need to go through with it in order to fulfil the access fertility refund programme. After this, we're heading to Spain for Donor Egg treatment. x
Oh gosh bless you, that must be tough especially after 4 cycles. How do they know on day 4 that there is little chance of success (if you don’t mind asking). Wishing you the best of luck with it though xxx
We were told after cycle 3 failed that there was little chance of success with my eggs. We signed up for a 3 cycle refund programme through Access Fertility though and still had 1 cycle to complete so we decided that we would go through with this 4th cycle and then start heading down the DE route once the money was refunded. I am trying not to connect too much with this cycle but it becomes hard once you start injecting all these hormones!!! x
Oh right I see, Crickey that must be tough. I already feel a bit disconnected and I’m only on round 2, so can only begin to imagine what it must be like for you. Yes the blooming hormones!! 😂 keep going though, you certainly deserve some luck xx
