I’m due my 2nd embryo transfer next month and am trying to decide if I need to book accupunture or not. Being quoted about £200.
I had it with my last transfer with my daughter which was obviously successful.
What are peoples experiences with it. I know it’s relaxing ect but this time round juggling a toddler and accupunture and bloods/ scans/ work and transfer ect I think I might be adding more to my plate. But then if it doesn’t work will I blame not having acupuncture?
I know it’s only up to me but did people not have it the second time round and it worked? Hoping to transfer a 5AA frozen embryo all being well. Infertility is male side but I do have some slight endo on my right ovary. I’m 34.
just want an idea of peoples experiences.
thanks ladies xxx

Hello - similar story to you: 33, male factor and a 5AA embryo.
I had the same thought process at the time in terms of whether it’s worth it. I decided against doing it, rationale being I had something different to try the next time if it failed. Luckily it didn’t fail and am currently 18w pregnant.
Good luck whatever decision you make as can totally see the rationale of wanting to throw everything at it! X
Maybe try other ways to prepare for your transfer such as walking -gentle exercise -swimming -cycling Good healthy diet -avoid caffeine - good sleep pattern and rest when you can .Try some yoga - breathing exercises - mindfulness
Hello,I didn't have acupuncture and my 5AB FET was successful (11 weeks pregnant). I just followed a healthy diet, no alcohol and no caffeine and had my supplements.
I believe acupuncture for me would have made it more stressful having to be in another place on a specific time before and after the transfer... Instead we had a picnic that I had cooked the day before after the transfer and then went home to watch a movie.
