Hey ladies. Day 3 of these horrid jabs and this one hurt as much as the first. How long did you ladies take these ones for? They are so fidgety. It takes so long to prepare because of the damn safety caps on needles, by time I'm having it injected I feel like crying. I'm more bloated and uncomfortable with each day that passes. Is this normal? I'm also taking 375mg of meriofert aswell. This one isn't so bad. I'm praying follicles have grown more on scan tomorrow. I feel different these last few days. Like I'm full. I hope this is a good thing xxxxx

Hi Leah_russ. Ouch! So sorry that the Cetrotide injections are hell for you. Hopefully if your scan is OK today, they will give you a stop date for them. If not already tried, melt an ice cube on the spot before injecting. you can also get some lignocaine gel (Emla cream) from your GP to use half an hour before injecting. Put it on in a blob like a marble and don't rub it in. Cover with a clear dressing (from your doc) and leave for half an hour. Wipe off and inject pain free, Thinking of you, it's not easy, bless you. Diane

Hi lovely, I’ve done 3 days of cetrotide and they defo sting!! I come up in an itchy bump afterwards and a real overwhelming emotional hour or so afterwards! They’re such a nightmare to prep like you say. Hopefully won’t be for long. Hope you’re well xx

The bloating and feeling uncomfortable is very common I’m afraid. It will soon all be done.. good luck xx

Thanks ladies. I've taken 5 of the dreaded things now and got another scan tomorrow. Follicles are not great. Few at 13 only day 8 so hoping they would have grown by tomorrow. Egg collection due Friday. I'm hoping it will be Friday anyway. I'm so emotional all the time. Trying to fit in apps on my dinner breaks whilst in work and they are never ending. It's so hard working full time and trying to juggle apps, needles etc. Clinic weren't very helpful on Monday so I've got alot of un answered questions. My medication hasn't been increased on this cycle even though follicles are struggling. Also I feel like I'm ovaulating which isn't good. Is EG usually day 12/13 of cycle xxxx
