I am starting Cetrotide tomorrow, and just wanted to double double check on here that I take this in the morning? 12 hours between it and Gonal-f? I think I remember having to gear myself up in the morning to take it; it's not as "nice" as Gonal-f. My clinic didn't answer my calls today.....

Cetrotide in the morning, yes?
Hi ttcemmie,
I was on fyremadel instead of Cetrotide for my short protocol round and I did mine in the morning.
Two of my friends that did short protocols at Bourn used Cetrotide though and they did theirs in the morning too.
Both said it was quite stingy and left a rash so just a heads up!
Good luck xx
Thanks Kibo. Yes, I'm not looking forward to it! x
Yeah sorry! Just think, it’s not for too long 🙌🏻 have you got a rough EC date?
Next Wednesday! Not too far away!
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 no time at all! I saw your other post about gonal f, are you on a higher dose this time?x
Mmmmm 🤔I used to do them both (Gonal F and cetrotide) in the evening so I could relax after! I don’t remember them having to be done 12hours apart! Xx
Oh gosh, I'm not sure now. Going to look around on here! I'm sure it probably doesn't matter if it's morning or evening, but it's another thing to worry about!
I'd prefer to do it in the evening! Less stressful before work!
Yeah my clinic wasn’t bothered about when as long as it’s always the same time...I used to do them after dinner before my tv time so I could relax xxx
Nice. I've just found I've commented on a post from 2 months ago (clearly I have no memory) saying my clinic said to do them in the morning, but for no particular reason. And everyone else posting has said their clinics usually have a preference, but it doesn't actually matter. Mind at rest. I now know what my clinic wants! Lol.
Hope this helps - rxlist.com/cetrotide-drug.h...
Scroll to dosage. Looks like if you start it on day 5 of stims you can do morning or evening but if you start it on day 6 it has to be done in the morning.
You’re day 6 tomorrow right?
It was morning for me, and I dreaded them too! Hurt so much more, and left a horrible rash! Treat yourself afterwards, good luck 😘 xx
I think it's all the prep that goes in to them as well as the injection itself. The mixing needle doesn't exactly inspire confidence! And what if all the stuff doesn't dissolve etc....... as if the injections aren't a worry enough in itself!
I was on gonal f- was taking in the evening after 7pm. I was advised to take cetrotide at the same time so right after gonal f. But I don't know if it's different for different people. You'd need to check with them. There mudt be an urgent pager number or something in your paperwork
Thanks AnisahP. I couldn't find an urgent number (and my clinic doesn't put am or pm on the paperwork - what is wrong with them?!), but I did find a message I'd put on someone else's post just 2 months ago saying my clinic had told me to take them in the morning. Thank God! Lol. And KiboXX sent a really helpful article above. Apparently it looks like it's not just "clinic preference" but what day your injections you are on also matters. x
Hello ttcemmie, yes is in the morning. I just took mine now 8am.i started 3days ago. I wish us Good luck .you are not alone. ❤❤❤❤
I pray for the Good news for us. I will keep you update
I've always been advised to do Menopur in the evening, and Centrotide/Fyremadel in the morning (so they were 12 hours apart i.e. 7am and 7pm) xx
