Hi good luck with your journey me and my Husband have been trying for 8 years had 2 ectopic pregnancies and 1 miscarriage ended in me losing both my Fallopian tubes so only way is ivf for us we have initial consultation 9th January feeling nervous hoping that all is good and we no more as to wen we can start we have been told we need icsi for now as my Husbands Semen analysis came back most things all normal apart from the shape of them so that's the plan as it stands unless anything changes. I hope all goes well for you I'm 32 it's a very hard journey especially when you want something so much xxx

Hi there, I had a similar start to you - I’m 32 and we’d been trying for 3 years and were told we’d need ICSI. We started injections at the beginning of Nov and it took me 15mins of dancing round the room to finally get the first injection done but after that first one, it was much easier. I wasn’t as hormonal as I thought I’d be on the meds and it didn’t disrupt my work, etc.

The egg collection was uncomfortable but you are sedated / sleepy which takes the edge off. I took a couple days off work after to relax and then had a 5 day transfer, which was no worse than a smear test and was over in a flash. The waiting is the hardest part - once your little bean is in there you have to wait 2 weeks to do a pregnancy test and then if it’s positive you have to wait 3 more weeks for a scan to make sure everything is OK.

It worked for us and I’m pleased to say I’m now nearly 10 weeks pregnant! Wishing you lots of luck and baby dust! 🤞🍀
