First appointment over, scan was fine no where near as bad as expected. Nurses just lovely too. Have to self fund due to vasectomy and retrieval booked in 3rd March.
If this is successful how long would it be until I start on the icsi side of things?
Hope all are ok

Awww wow glad things went well, i guess they would get u to do all your checks while waiting for the sperm retrival, then go on to the paperwork signing and payment.....once thats out the way u would start on your next cycle x
Thank you. We are booked in for the 3rd March for the sperm retrieval and hopefully if they do manage to retrieve some then my periods tend to start on the 15th of every month so I am hoping we can just get on with it on the 15th March!
I have the scan and test results back (I had these done in December) which we all positive so I am just hoping that they manage to retrieve some sperm.
They did run another test on my husband for his FSH levels or something on Friday as well.
Also we are in Halifax and they have assigned us to the Leeds hospital for the freezing, which I am really happy about as I did not fancy the trail to Manchester.
Hi Holly. This is all looking positive for you both now. Good to hear that you have been booked for sperm freezing at Leeds, which is obviously nearer for you, from what you say. Looks like you will be going through a cycle of ICSI?? Usually sperm become very lazy after a vasectomy, but all the information needed to fertilise an egg is in the head of the sperm and is still OK. Tales are just for transport, so with ICSI - who needs tails anyway! I was here when ICSI was first used, and now have photos of boys (no girls yet) going to senior school, looking fab! Diane
Thank you for your words of encouragement 😄 Yes it'll be ICSI as long as they find some sperm. I was so impressed with how lovely everyone was just a shame we have to pay for the icsi but at least it should be quicker I suppose. How amazing ... Did you get twins?
