1st NHS appointment tomorrow

Hi ladies.

I got a letter a few weeks ago from NHS for us to go to see the fertility unit tomorrow.

Would this be a sign that we may get the nhs funding? What happens at these appointments if my amh tests etc have already been done? xx

Hey AMA, I had my first appointment today, loads of info and forms and the next meeting we have will be to physically start the process. I did have a load of tests with the acs unit before this so I’m not sure what stage you are at but if I can help at all just drop me a pm. I am having treatment in Glasgow if that makes any difference. Good luck lady xx

Yes it was the royal, it was prob a half an hour appointment and I think I start in May/June dependent on cycle dates. Xx

Our first appointment involved us discussing the options we would be looking to use (based on the tests we had already had done with GP) and the protocol they expected to use with some details on what it would involve.

I’m pretty sure I had an internal scan too, although I could be wrong 🤔

We also were checked to see if we smoked, had weight taken and some bloods which weren’t done by my GP beforehand.

We were then informed that we would be on the waiting list for treatment.

We waited 11 months although I’m not sure if they’ve now cut waiting lists down?

This was back in November 2015 and we started going through treatment October 2016 xxx

For me the appointment letter was the only indication that we had been accepted for funding, I hope it’s the same for you x

Hi! I’m also doing treatment at Glasgow for our 2nd go. Long story short, feel free to read my profile! We signed the paperwork on the first appointments then were given phone numbers to call when our treatment was ready to start. It was rather quick after that!! Good luck xx

Mostly fine but hoping to start the stimms as then I might feel a little more human again... I’ve been feeling a little rough with having had my prostap injection on day 21 of my cycle. The headaches are a little bit of a downer but I found that once I started the stimms last time I felt more like myself again!! Hoping that’s the case this time. Just need to wait and see what they say later today!! xx
