FET Pregnancy Bleeding

I am 6 weeks and 4 days today. I just noticed a blood clot and bleeding today. On Monday I went for transvaginal scan and I saw the baby's flickering. Then experiencing this today made me afraid. Please who can explain it

Hi, I cannot explain but I've heard bleeding in early pregnancy is more common than we know. your doctor should be able to provide advice and support! Never hesitate to ask your clinic, I wish you all the best xx

Thanks for your response, I called and they advised for me to continue with my medications. I will be returning to the clinic on the 18th of March, that's 6 days from now.

I had spotting and some small clots up until week 9.... I asked my clinic if i could increase my progesterone pessaries to 3 x daily (from 2) which they agreed. If the spotting is or goes brown quite quickly then the consultants tended to not be too worried as it indicates old blood. Having had several miscarriages previously I was terrified, but I think it was implantation and hormones settling in. I'm now nearly 18 weeks. Fingers crossed this will pass for you too, keep going to the EPAU for as many reassurance scans as you feel you need. 🤞❤️ xx

Thanks so much, my concern was the blood went from pinkish to red. I just called the emergency unit for check up. Fingers crossed everything will be ok.

Try not to worry, I had the same thing in week 6 I had a bleed and started spotting I thought I lost baby, but then went to early pregnancy unit and they confirmed it is common and nothing to worry about. Baby was all okay.

I'm so sorry, I know firsthand how stressful bleeding is. I had a few instances of bleeding (including red) between weeks 5 and 6. I found this study a little reassuring pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/378... as it showed about half of IVF pregnancies featured bleeding, and that those who had bleeding had the same successful outcome rate as those who didn't. But I needed the additional reassurance and pushed my clinic for another scan (so had one at 6 weeks and one at 7) - you should push for this too if it would help you to feel better. Sending hugs 🩷

Oh, how lovely... thanks so much, I will be having another scan by 18th of March that's next week Tuesday. I called the emergency and they promised to call me back in the next hour. I am so glad to be in this space.

I went to the clinic today and the doctor said everything was ok but the blood was as a result of a sac filled with blood which will either be absorbed by the baby or discharged as bleeding. I was discharged from my fertility clinic today and referred back to my GP. I am so happy today.

I had a FET as well and this same thing happened to me around 7 weeks. It was a subchorionic hematoma. I was very scared after many losses but I now have a healthy 3 month old. Prayers for you and baby ❤️

Hi, I hope you found the help you needed. Something similar happened to me. Two days ago, I had my first transvaginal scan. Yesterday, I bled (red) and had cramps. Today, I had a little bleeding, but it was very dark, and I still have some cramps. Everything was fine until that scan. Has your clinic provided any reassurance about it?

I have stopped bleeding but having a brown discharge, I went to the hospital today and the doctor said I should wait for my next scan which will be in 5 days time.
