Hi everyone in very new to the whole process and using these forums. I have recently been diagnosed with early menopause due to POF. I had high FSH and LH and in awaiting the results of AMH test. Everything is ok with my partner and we have been recommended egg donation.
What is the next step for us?

Hi monkey2611, have you been referred to a fertility clinic? That is usually the next step, then from there we saw the consultant, had a few more tests and everything was explained to us. Then we saw the nurse who went through the consent forms, and the practical side of ivf. With donor eggs I think there is usually some counselling and then a donor would need to be found. The infertility UK website has some information that I found useful when I started, have a look. Also, ask the clinic what the process is. Best of luck with it all x
Thanks for the reply. Yes I've been to the fertility clinic which is where I was told the news. Got anothe appointment in a couple of weeks and I have no idea what that is about!
Hello , Just wanted to say hi and sorry to hear your results. I am infact having blood tests tomorrow to check for early menopause tomorrow as my cycles have been so short as late. (also waiting for IVF as other half has low sperm count) I thought they would still do IVF with your eggs in early menopause as you would have some eggs?
I've just had transfer with donor eggs. Frozen embryo as last transfer unfortunately ended in a miscarriage at 6 weeks.
We decided to go to a clinic in Spain as advised there was a wait here in the UK and 41 didn't feel I had time on my side. We have obviously had to self fund all the treatment. The journey is an emotional roller coaster but it will be worth it.
Thanks Becks72. Sorry to hear about you miscarriage. It is a long wait it's been 6 weeks and I haven't even had another meeting yet. Seems like months between each appointment. Will use try this funded NHS try and then will probably go private to avoid too much waiting!
