I’ve been told I have endo I have several symptoms and they change form time to time in which is the worst I never have had bad periods but got put on pill anyways and then told to miss my period I started spotting so thought ok I’ll just have my period. So I’ve started bleeding but I don’t have any pain or nausea or fatigue or anything. So far it’s totally normal what the hell is going on I mean I’m bloody grateful but I just can’t swallow that I have endo. It hasn’t been confirmed Cos I havnt had a op but my doctor wants to go straight for a hysterectomy which isn’t funded. I have little time until I see him next to decide on if I want to op. Despite all my fears I just can’t understand if I have endo then why am I not in pain? Do I even have it am I gonna have the op and find out I didn’t even have endo and lost my uterus for no reason. Sorry for the complaint I am happy and grateful for feeling well of late I’m sure all of u would kill for the same
I am so confused: I’ve been told I have... - Endometriosis UK
I am so confused
Refuse to have a hysterectomy. Having one does not cure endo so you are removing your uterus for nothing. It doesn’t seem right that your not diagnosed and he’s planning on just going straight in and giving you a hysterectomy. It’s not right at all refuse it and ask to see another doctor x
My book on endo says if the doctor goes straight for a hysterectomy or offers hormone treatment without investigating further to explore all the options choose another doctor! - I'd refuse and have a second opinion.
I didn't have many endo symptoms, just the bloating, period pains, and heavy periods, specialist did a laparoscopy and found lots even sticking organs together, so I guess everyone's different with regards to symptoms and amounts of endo.
I would refuse ask him to send you in for a lap so they can 200% know what's what's without looking they can't give u a diagnosis they suspected I had this (which I unforuntly do have now) at the age of 15 when they did a lap they found my right tube was stuck to my bowel they can't remove it due to being to far bk but I wouldn't allow such a big op without u knowing fully what's going on in my opinion anyways hope this helps xxx
Thanks. I’m from nz and there just is no help in getting info about this it’s just all dr google and of course here. I have so many questions. Another is what r the chances of endo on the diaphragm how common is it?
Tbh from what I've been reason just today there's many organs it can effect and stick to. When I was younger they told me the tube had stuck due to a virul infection and now I have endometriosis so a part of me wonders if it was that all along and it wasn't noticeable I would ask others on here and see what their experiences are sorry I can't be of much help on this x
