Hi I also had an ablation in March when I had a strangulated cyst removed off my right ovary & went back for check up at 6 weeks to deal with my uterine prolapse which was causing me pain & discomfort, bleeding & wanted to constantly go to the toilet. I had a vaginal hysterectomy & prolapse repair just over 4 weeks ago, my uterus was a lot larger than expected & my prolapse repair was much worse than expected. I’m like you very active & don’t do sitting around & not being able to go to work & not driving also has driven me insane.
I have found this site very good to ask other people’s advice on how it was for them also, my advice would be as I was told rest, rest, rest lol. I hope all goes well for you & any other questions please feel free to ask.
Hello! I have a 11cm fibroid and my doctor put me in list for open surgery. They said it's too big to remove via the vagina. But I am still looking for a second opinion. How it happened that they offered a procedure via the vagina for you? I live in London and went to St Mary's. But now I will have a consultation on 26th in other clinic.
Aw I’m sore! Out of hospital a week now and had good days and bad. Today is bad, mostly likely because I’ve done too much during the day and I’m now too sore to even move. I’m finding the resting bit hard... I’m lucky enough to have two kids but it’s fair to say they don’t understand that I’m not well and need to rest. I think that was the bit you were worried about?
The op itself went really smoothly... bled a lot from one of my wounds and had horrible nausea after but all very minor in the grand scheme.
Think I’ll be taking some morphine tonight even though it makes me feel dizzy and sick! Hopefully I’ll be asleep before that kicks in.
Also reckon I’m pretty constipated so taking multiple herbal things plus lactulose to help move things along!
I’m sorry to hear you’re in agony - it’s no fun, is it? I hope the pain subsides soon - sending a virtual hug 🤗
Hey - have been trying to reply for days but having some tech issues with this app!
I’m three and half weeks post op and think I’ve turned a corner over the last few days. Waiting for some tests to come back - have had some strange bleeding and gp also wanted to test iron levels.
I think both will be ok as I’m actually feeling better but need to be so careful not to overdo it which is really easy.
Hi hunni I’ve been in so much pain since Sunday morning, on my right side which is different, I went to the doc yesterday and she thinks I may have a cyst but I have my consukatant next week so I have to try ride it out till then. But the way I am feeling right now is so emotional and I’m so much pain I might go to the hospital. I’m in bed I’ve took painkillers again so here’s hoping it helps soon x how you doing? X
