Hysterectomy yesterday

I had a total hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo oopherectomy yesterday at 3pm. The surgeon said my endometriosis was quite extensive and my ovaries and womb were stuck to my pelvis. I think thats what he said, i was a bit woozy. Op took less than an hour but recovery a further hour then back on the ward my bp was low and i was very weak and sickly. Not too much pain. Just on paracetamol and ibuprofen at mo and theyve given me codeine to take if i need it and movicol if i get constipated. Im home 24hrs later with a catheter in because my bladder wasnt fully emptying. I feel a little bit tired but otherwise fine considering. X

I think your doing well if your able to cope with just those painkillers or to go home so quickly. I was in bed for weeks with a temperature when attempting anything and I didn't have a a Histo ! 4 mths before I could drive on long journeys of 2hrs . Good Luck, very brave. x
