Hysterectomy recovery ?
Hi if you look up my recent post it may help?
Look at my posts too, I have not on one occasion looked back . Slow recovery but compared to pre surgery - I feel a million dollars x
Have a look at my posts too. Honestly the best decision that I made 😀. Good luck 😘
From my experience I would have to be honest and say that on first waking from the surgery the pain was extreme. BUT 1- the hospital will encourage you to take whatever pain relief you need. Do that and don’t be afraid to say what hurts. And 2- as others have said already, following recovery, best decision I ever made and felt great. Go with a positive mindset as to what the future will look like and work towards that. You’ll be stronger each hour and then each day. I made a determined effort to go outside and walk every day after leaving hospital (even if it was only a few steps to start with!) That helped as I could see progress. Good luck with it all!
You just need to rest then rest some more! It’s a big op so takes time to heal, don’t rush it and take all the pain relief offered x
I had a hysterectomy aged 32 and tilts no where near as bad as you are expecting. The catheter is the worst bit, the nice that I didnt need to get up and pee inthe night. I was out the next day,no painmeds needed at all. Though it didnt cure my endometriosis sadly but i dont bleed like a bitch every few weeks now lol I climbed a huge mountain within 2 weeks of my op , that was the only time I bled after .
