Hi all , about 9 years ago had sugery for bladder endo , over the years had more surgery to remove it from other places , tried all the tablets /coil u name it ive tried it ... last year was offered prostrap , had my last 3 month dose end of december which will take me to march when back with consultant , im also taking norithestrone 3 a day (without these pills i cant leave the house due to bleeding so bad ) all through treatment ive had bleeding not bad just off days as i call them , past week it just doesnt want to stop , i can go to 6 tablets a day but am reluctant to keep upping dose as my ankles swell so much on the higher dose ... has anyone else had a similar situation , The only thing the prostrap seems to have helped with is the pain , which after all these years is a blessing x

I am on zoladex and bleed almost daily. I can't take progestin but I take progesterone and estrogen gel as addback. It's really tough. Some days are better than others but it's so unpredictable and I find it hard as I flood 2 to 3 times a week. Sometimes I just feel like I'm having a period that sits behind the mask of the zoladex. Mentally I'm pretty good but physically I need a hysterectomy which isn't straight forward due to endometriosis. Xxx

I think thats the worst , how unpredicatble each day is , yet we soldier on , being in a good place mentally helps i think , yes we all have times when u think oh great here we go again , but then we pick r selves up and carry on .. Hugs xx

Hi I'm on the fiur weekly prostrap ones and they are working thankfully. But i have heard ladies here say the twelve week ones do wear off after ten weeks, perhaps yiu could ask for the four weekly ones instead. Sending you a safe hug too 🤗❤️

Hi

I had terrible bleeding on the prostap since November when I first started. After lots of emails back and forth to endo nurse she agreed to put me on the tablets too and not to have any more injections. They also changed the HRT too from patches to tibolone. This made a massive difference to the bleeding and no need to take the pills 3 times a day. I have now gone 5 weeks with no bleeding and I’m due my third prostap injection in a couple of weeks. Not sure if you’re on the HRT but finding one that suits you may help the bleeding! It worked for me after I lost all hope! I am awaiting a hysterectomy due to stage 4 endo and adeno. Lots of good advice on here too. Good luck!

Hi there . Im kinda stuck with the injection as i opted for the 12 week , which will take me to my 6 months .. im also on tibolone , think its a wonder drug , it has calmed my anger lots lol , Been on 3 -6 tablets now fir nearly 2 years ... its the only way i can work and get out ...

Consultant has spoke about hysterectomy for me , but said il try prostrap first ,

Glad u finally found sone treatment that is working for you , i hope u get to have another 5 weeks bleeding free 🙏.

Thankyou for your reply , and good luck to you also xx

People on here also advised that it does take time for the prostap to work too. Some say after 3rd injection it starts to ease bleeding. I guess we are all different and our bodies react differently to things. I have learnt it’s a lot of trial and error and find what works for you. I started on 4 weeks first then 12 weeks maybe have them closer together may help. The advice I have got from here is the most honest and it makes you fell less alone. It’s a misunderstood illness and the effects on your life and mental health can be devastating. Keep trying different options and hopefully things will work out for you xx

Oh the trial amd error part im with you , u obvs have to give your body time to adjust to new meds etc .... il have a chat when im back in march , Its strange how many people suffer with this , but agree at times u do feel alone , yes family friends listen and r great , but when its a bad day u just need that other opinon i feel ,

Everyone seems lovely on here offering advice and support , sometimes more than my actuall consultant 🤣xx
