About lap surgery

Hi ladies, I m due for surgery and my period date is coming.But is it ok that just before ur period day for excision surgery..? I am really scared of this..

Morning! I’ve just had my 2nd lap last Wednesday and I was on day one of my period. Made no difference at all, so please don’t worry 😃

How was yur pain and bleeding? More cramps or any issues with that?

No not all, tbh because of the pain meds they give you, you forget all about your period. Only issue I had was the bit of a gas pain in shoulder, but managed that with windeze.

I was worried too as my period started two days later but I had waited ages (over a year for the first operation which made a huge change to my life) and it was fine. I was in a lot of pain afterwards and on painkillers so period pain was lower on the list of my worries. My period was fine and was not heavier, although this can happen after surgery. I hope your operation goes well!

Please be assured this is absolutely fine. I had surgery the day my period started. I was worried too. I’m sure it came early just to annoy me! I was assured my the surgeon that it was fine and that it was more of an inconvenience for me than for him. You will be fine and it won’t make any difference to your procedure.
