I was put onto Zoladex a few years ago whilst I waited for my second Lap, I found it worked to manage the pain and to stop the symptoms of Endo. I was recently put onto Prostap whilst I wait for tests on my bowel. I’d been on the pill and this was slowly helping with my periods. But ultimately wouldn’t stop them.
3 days after the first Prostap injection my period started, the pain and bleeding was horrendous. Has anyone else had this with Prostap, and if so how long did it take to actually work? Thank you

I was put on monthly prostep in June, the first period a few days after was horendous, so much bleeding and pain, I passed out on the bathroom floor. But since then, nothing, no pain, no bleeding just a bit of insomnio and a few hot flushes. I haven't felt so good in years.
Hi on my first injection the bleeding took three and a half weeks to stop, getting lighter, no bleeding since, odd hot flushes and a bit of insomnia but apart from that it's going really well x
Well Prostap and Zoladex provide a similar outcome. Myself on Zoladex over 10yrs.
I feel the benefit starts in the 1st 2 mths. Like most drugs the body has to get use to changes. Maybe mood changes, tiredness, body changes, symptoms of Menopause.
As to your bowel I feel its probably Endometriosis damage, general inflammation. With me it also meant changes in diet of foods my body couldn't cope with. I went Gluten free 1st, then lactose free a few yrs later.
Inflammation, bloating, extension of the stomach can be caused by Histamines as well in the bowel with other foods eg. Avocado, Banana.
I would try cutting out all gluten for 2 wks see if the bowel improves. Unfortunately it's hidden in many foods so check to labels.
The stomach and bowel can get very sore and stay sore so when you eat whatever is upsetting you will suddenly make all your issues much worse.
