Not coping with pain right now

Had generic painkillers, hot shower while covering on the floor, writing this post in a brief few minutes of moderate pain before the severe pain inevitably comes crashing back. No comfy position. Sweating, feel faint. Pain indescribable.

I can’t be on the pill.

Prescribed painkillers don’t scratch the surface.

Been recommended the coil. I’m scared but I have to get it don’t I. My only option.

I'm sorry you are in so much pain. I swear by a plug in heat pad. You can get them for about £20 on Amazon. I would say though, if you're feeling that bad, go to a and e/contact 111. I've been there and that level of pain is scary x

Thanks so much for replying. I’ll definitely have to try a heat pad. And thank you for the thoughts about a&e/111 too. Your reply is much appreciated

I have the Mirena coil and has definitely taken the edge off not having periods anymore. It took a few months to settle though x

You don't have to do anything! I had the coil, and I found it only worsened my symptoms, but I know everyone is different x

Thanks so much for your reply, much appreciated. If you don’t mind saying, and no problem if you don’t want to share, what symptoms did the coil worsen for you? I’ve heard mostly positive things about the coil so it’s interesting to hear you didn’t get on with it (although I’m very sorry you didn’t!)

No problem! So it worsened the cramping for me, the bleeding was heavier and random. It was the copper coil too because I can't have any extra hormones. Normally it's recommended for woman who have had children so because I've not it was worse for me especially when it was put in. Getting it out was worse. X
