I use a bit of everything and I find all of it helps to an extent. I hate using pain killers so fell they just make me more sensitive to the pain after a while so I only use codeine when I really need to and if it's been a few days in a row, then I just go without.

I use...

Meditation. It helps me to not focus so much on the pain. I dint meditate while I'm actually suffering, it's more something I do most days that just helps me cope.

TENS machine. I got the paingone one that's like a pen you just hold in specific areas. I find it really helps reduce my pain.

Heat packs. I've only just started using them but they've really helped me at night when I'm sleeping. That's when my pain is at its worst.

I also see a chiropractor regularly. It's been amazing and I'm usually counting the days until I have my next appointment.

I should say that the majority of my pain is my back. I do get a lot of abdominal pain but can usually tolerate that but my back pain is often unbearable.

As you can see, I prefer the natural approach. I feel any medication just adds another issue eventually.

I hope summer of this leads to you getting some relief.

X

Thank you, yeah I get a lot of pain from my back from another condition. Just really difficult having a full time job and no one to cover you when you’re in so much pain x

It's awful loving with chronic pain. I've had to give up working just now as I'm just so ill with it all.

You can also request to be referred to the pain clinic who can help you find ways to cope. X

Hi..you should not have to put up with the pain. Have you been diagnosed and on any hormone treatments? Zoladex gave me my life back, was on it for many years. I used to use hot water bottles and found feminax ultra the only painkiller that helped. Its cheaper to get it from your gp, Naproxen, same thing. Good luck, but please dont put up with the pain x
