Bleeding on prostap

Has anyone else experienced bleeding on prostap. I had a lap to remove a large endometrioma, right ovary and right fallopian tube. Following this I was put on monthly injections of prostap and the pill.A few weeks ago I bled for 12 days, saw consultant they suggested it could be prostap settling. I had a 12 day break of bleeding then started bleeding again, I'm currently on day 13 of bleeding.

I've had 3 prostap injections so far. I don't have app with consultant till December 😕

Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Hello

I’m on prostap. I was on zoladex for 15 months and it stopped working. I started bleeding again. I was changed to prostap 4 months ago. I’ve been bleeding almost constantly since February. Sadly nothing working for me and I’m due to go in hospital in October for a total hysterectomy. Prostap can cause bleeding. For me I don’t think much of it, I’ve never felt worse or been worse with bleeding. But that won’t be the case for everyone. They say give it 3 months first and then see what reaction you get. Sorry that’s all the help I can be. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply.Hope everything goes well with your hysterectomy.

I think I'm going to stop the pill and see if that helps, I was only put on the pill to double up on combating the bleeding and control over endo as husband has had the snip.

The only problem with that is that the consultant wanted me to continue pill until I hit menopause as I carnt have coil do to shape of womb.

Oh well, if stopping the pill sorts out the bleeding then I guess another plan will need to be explored.

Hello

I was told the pill just masks everything so you can’t tell if something is wrong or not. I was on it for 8 yrs and when I came off it that’s when symptoms started and it was discovered I had endometriosis practically everywhere inside my pelvis. Many surgeries, many zoladex treatments, 20 years of hospital visits, hopefully all sorted soon. Hope you find something to help.

Thanks. I'm going to stop taking the pill but keep going with the prostap and see if it's the pill causing the bleeding. My skin is really bad as well and I think the pill is to blame for that too. Hope all works out for you x
