Bleeding on prostap

Hi. I've been on prostap for about 4 weeks. I would normally be due a period. I've found my pain to be a lot worse the last few days, with a few spots of bleeding. I've also started bleeding after intercourse. I feel like my hips are stiff. Does anyone else experience the same? X

Hey Rhi28, I am due my second injection on tuesday, I was told that i would not bleed and the pains/symptoms would be dramatically reduced - this has not been the case throughout the last 3/4weeks. Yesterday the usual monthly pains kicked in right on cue but have been worse, i am still light headed/dizzy, tired and doubled over with the cramps. I havent had the spotting as of yet but i have had bleeding after intercourse (intercourse itself is becoming progressively more and more painful - not sure if it is the same for you). Like yourself, my hips have become very stiff and what i call the Triangle Area - from hip bone to hip bone and down in a V - just constantly ache morning, noon and night, combined with my lower back all over i just feel heavy - not sure if thats the right word but its the only way i can describe it.

Sorry I dont have any suggestions on what to try, your not alone out there, which i admit doesnt make the discomfort go away but helps that others can relate to what we are going through - i am sat at my desk at work with a hot water bottle, swapping it from front to back, no painkillers have touched it. Without sounding patronising (people that dont suffer with it always seem to) I do hope that it eases soon for you, based on personal experiences and what the other ladies have said on here that may not happen.

All the best :-) xx

My situation sounds very similar to yours. I've got an appointment at the doctors later to see if they can do anymore. Probably not but worth a try! Thank you for replying. The bleeding and hips are feeling stiff is new. Might sound wrong, but it's nice for someone else to confirm this. So you don't feel like it's all in my head! So sorry your feeling this way and work today. Hope you get a pain free day soon. Big hugs x

Hi I'm 9 days into my first injection, it's my first and last as I'm having a full hysterectomy in just under 5 weeks. My experience with prostap so far have not been good at all. From dizziness and nausea, migraines with visuals, increased pelvic pain, back pain and a stiff pelvis. My breasts have also gone up a cup size and my mood and outlook have changed not for the better. My legs are irritable and Achey in bed and I'm not getting much sleep at all. I'm due my period next week so we shall see what happens then. I'm guessing I will have it as normal because I ovulated. Just wanted to let you know your bit alone. Prostap is a nasty drug I would never ever tough it again x

Sorry typos your not alone that should have said x

Thank you for answering and sharing hun. Sounds like you've been having a awful time of it. I wish there was a cure out there for us all. Oh the mood swings.... Yes! My poor boyfriend is on some days acting as a carer for me and repay him by being snappy a lot! Poor thing. I seem to have a lot more down days too. Not sure it's the condition or it's my hormones that get me down. I went to the doctors and they were quite understanding. Which surprised me! They've given me matrifen pain patches. Told me I shouldn't try and carry on in pain and that I should be back and forth until I get the right treatment! Hope the operation goes smooth as possible and it gives you the pain releif you obviously need. Big hugs xx

Hey, I had my 5th injection of the lovely prostap a week ago, this is now off licence.. but my choices were limited as i've had sooo much surgery, the last one july 2011, and I can't have anymore yet.. This time the prostap has been hell, i've got severe knee joint pain and pelvic pain which is constant... I feel sick all the time and I'm losing my patience :-( i've also got crippling migraines and am pretty much sofa bound.. this is the first time i've commented on any site, just nice to know i'm not alone atleast.. i've lost my career that i studied for many years for and i'm just soo depressed that i've lost hope.. sorry for the depressing rant.. big hugs to you all. xx

Don't apologise Hun. That's what this site is for. Let things air a bit a

and have people on here that understand. I'm really sorry that your so down hun. Your not alone though like I said there's loads of people on here that understand. Big hugs x

hi. i was the same when i 1st started taking prostap. i was already totally crippled coz of endo piains ans abdominal spasms and i was worse the 1st cuple of month on protap and then i started settling dow. it's coz of what the prostap does. it basically makes your hormones go into over drive, in order to eventually reduce them. for the 1st couple of months the enod will b at an all it cn eat buffet and then hopefully it will start 2 get satarved.
