Hi, was literally just about to post about prostap! Feeling absolutely awful on it, how are you doing? Didn't think side effects would be too bad as I have been suffering most of them anyway for the last few years, but it seems to have made them and what may or may not be Endo bowel symptoms and ovulation pain much worse in the first month. I did have a period about the normal time and was the first time in about 2 years without significant pain, lighter too and no clots etc. But everything else has been a bit of a nightmare and have felt pretty much constantly poorly. Hope you are fairing better X
Hiya.. I'm not feeling anywhere near as bad as I'd anticipated tbh.. I've had no hot flushes which I'm extremely happy about.. I just hope that it would have hit by now if it was going to.
I am feeling a bit emotional at times and still relying on pain killers but surely it's got to get better and be better than it was.
My period was due a few days ago and I didn't have the injection during a period, I did notice that the usual spotting I had disappeared the day after the injection so to start bleeding did shock me lol.
How many injections have you had or are you on your first as well?
I hope you start to feel better soon.. The nurse said to me that usually the first 3 weeks are the hardest, then during the 4th you start to feel the benefit, and she said she has more women begging for a longer course than wanting to stop.
Hi, glad to hear it's not been too bad and it sounds hopeful the relief from it should start to kick in soon. I've just had my second injection on Friday, 4th week last week was probably worst for me as it was ovulation week and I struggle badly then anyhow. Can I ask if the injection is being used after diagnosis / removal for you? For me it is the step before they decide to do the lap or not.
Ovulation is usually bad for me too, but I'd already had that before the injection so will see how it goes next month lol
I was diagnosed a few yrs ago by laparoscopy, and I had my second lap in February where I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo.. So this is my last resort.. But hopefully it'll work and I'll feel amazing in no time hahahaha
Aw, it sounds like the only way is up for you! Particularly if you haven't been suffering on it so far. I wonder if it makes a difference if you have it as treatment after removal than if it's given before diagnosis and any treatment. It sounds like almost a magic cure for some women and not so for others. I think it's going to do its job for you by the sounds of it 😊 keep me posted!
I had 8 of these injections. The 2 months my pain eased and bleeding stopped, by third injection I was back to square one and questioned having another injection but I did and my bleeding stopped and gave me about 12 weeks of life! (I felt 18 again!) then suddenly my pain and bleeding came back for the remainder of the injections. Injections have been stopped and I had another lap last week - where of course they found more endo. Hope they have settled down! X
