Hi there

Sorry to hear you’re having a rough time. I’ve been on the injections for 18 months and haven’t had any bleeding at all. I know I’ve been lucky with this as the first injection can often trigger a bleed but I haven’t heard of anything normally after the first. Have you rung the hospital for advice? Are you on HRT?

I had massive bleeding 42 days with big clots during my first 3 months. Which was longer than average but eventually subsided. The 2nd injection I had in July and bleeding started again not as heavy but lasted a week then stopped now started again bit heavier another week only 2 weeks bleed free so waiting to go back and see consultant. I had severe stage 4 endo 12 years ago and currently have 2 fibroids she suspects endo and fibroids may be causing more bleeding than the average person. We will have to see. Hope yours subsides.

I am feeling this one. My experience was awful. Ended up down A and E after been on to medical advice. I could hardly walk the bleeding was so bad and was the pain front and back. I had to stop having the injections. It just doesn't agree with everyone. Get some advice and help it really is not good to suffer. Take care. Xx

I've only just been given this injection for my heavy periods last month and I'm still bleeding 15 days now! It's like on and off daily it's annoying to say the least I was told it could last anywhere to a month or a few weeks! 15-20 days max 🤔🧐 but I dout it .....worse situation is my gyne didn't listen or card for my situation and just put me on it saying bleeding should stop and periods too but ...........when! I've had my period as expected but now I'm getting this crap daily and she dudnt tell me this part or how long it would last for! Yet she didnt even diagnosis me or test me or give US scan or out to see if what's is causing my prolonged heavy periods I'm do fed up now and just want the bleeding to finnish
