Just wondering if anyone has any experience of using this in the UK? My Gp is currently fighting to get it prescribed for me after I requested it, but want to know more about experiences/ SEs etc. (Stage 3 endo, laproscopy June 2022. Symptoms were controlled quite well taking back to back Yasmin, but new GP recommended taking a 4-day break between every 3 packs, which has led to a flare up and heavy bleeding on and off )
Also, as its not licenced as a contraceptive, does anyone have experience with using it and something non-hormonal like Natural Cycles? (Not as a form of contraception, just to track cycles etc). Have spoken to NC and they say it can't be used with anything that will impact your basal temperature, which I guess Zalkya would if it stops ovulation?
Thanks guys x

Hey, I have been on Zalkya since the start of January. I had surgery nearly 2 years ago for stage 4 endo which was all good but the pain was starting to come back. I was concerned about trying it after reading peoples experiences on here but honestly I think it's been good so far. My pain has pretty much gone. The only thing I now have is irregular bleeding/spotting though that is much better than excessive periods so it's a positive! I can't get it directly through my doctors but I have an endo nurse who can prescribe it for me. She did mention as its newly available in the UK most doctors don't have much info on it yet so it can be difficult to get a prescription.
Hi, I've been on dienogest for 3.5 months since my lap taking it continuously and on the 3rd month of dienogest my period has stopped completely, although still in daily pain it's been reduced so much! My endo specialist recommended it to me as it's considered the best pill at preventing endo regrowing x
Hi! I’ve been using it for 3 years now - it’s fantastic. I was using it overseas initially but I have now gone into it in the UK, and it is still amazing. I don’t have a period anymore but I do still ovulate. I have minimal pain and almost none of my previous symptoms. It doesn’t work as a contraceptive like you said so I always just keep track of where my cycle is and always use protection, but it is life changing. It almost feels like I have nothing wrong at all anymore! I have to get it privately for now, but it isn’t too expensive all things considered. Definitely worth it!
