Bruising and swelling

How long does the bruising last after laparoscopy for Endo? And did anyone have swelling in the stomach after?

Your looking at swelling for a week or so. My bruising took 3/4 weeks but then I had blood thinners after.

Yes, I looked pregnant for about 3 weeks, and felt like a tortoise on its back. Luckily I had that time off. Just make sure you get plenty of rest xx

It's been 6 weeks since the op now, I've noticed a small protrusion to left of my lower stomach. It's not painful but it's where I had lots of nerve pain after the op.

I've booked an appointment for a couple of weeks to see if it will go away in the meantime, but the bruising is still quite apparent and this small swelling seems unusual even tho it's not painful

Does sound strange but good you’re keeping an eye on it. Just look out for signs of infection (redness, itching) on top of the swelling xx

I had a swelling come up on my right side just under one of the insertion points. It really scared me but I think I was just trying to do too much too soon. It went down and then disappeared after a week or so.

Just make sure you’re getting enough rest 😊

I am 1 week post lap and I still having bruising coming out (turning yellow) and swelling. I was wondering the same thing! Hope you heal well soon x

I’m 4 weeks in from my lap and weirdly I have had no bruising at all but my word the swelling was unpleasant I felt 6 months pregnant!

I thought I was getting better but just started my period since the operation and I’ve bloated out again ☹️
