I had my endo surgery 15 days back.I had stage 4 endonetriosis with deep infiltration in my uterus as well as I had one blocked tube which was removed, and now have one tube left.My dr.suggested me to try for natural conception. Is there anyone who has conceived after laparoscopy naturally? Or do I need to go for IvF?

I conceived naturally 3 times after my first & third laparoscopy. First was a chemical pregnancy ( which was just unlucky) second time was our 14 month old daughter & third I’m 6 weeks 6 days pregnant. Before having my endo diagnosis & treated we couldn’t conceive at all for us it was the only issue. My endo grew POD, uteroscaral ligaments & rectum ( it made implantation impossible before it was removed- made my uterus lining uneven & hostile) I will also add I’m 38 so wasn’t young when I conceived! Good luck I hope you fall soon ❤️xxx

Both my tubes were fine. Literally it was just endo that caused our infertility once it was treated we could conceive it happened very quickly which surprised us as we’d been trying for a very long time previously ! Your fertility consultant will be the best person to advise you. If you have one functional tube you should be able to conceive ( tho it may take a bit longer) With endo it can re grow to try/ have treatment soonish if you feel ready go when it’s been removed. my last surgery was 2 years ago & I’ve managed to fall. Depends on the surgeon - if all removed you probably have a longer time frame. Your age is also favourable, you have plenty of time. I tried first cycle after each surgery ( I had no patience!) Good luck xxx

Hi, I had an ectopic pregnancy two years ago. During surgery endo was found to be the cause and had the tube removed along with the pregnancy. I waited three full cycles before trying again and in the second month of trying fell pregnant and now have a healthy happy one year old. Falling pregnant with one tube is possible. Good luck xx

Hi. I has stage 3/4 endo removed and then conceived 18 months later naturally. This was over 10 years ago. I've had some endo removed again a few months ago with two large endometriomas (cysts) so will hopefully conceive again naturally. I've got low AMH so am super concerned about this. Can l ask how you doctor diagnosed your blocked tube? Was it during the laporscopy? When l had my first diagnostic laporoscopy they performed a dye test and said my tubes were fine. I'm just wondering if they could tell whilst the removed the cyst this time or would l still need a dye test? I hope you conceive soon hun x

Yes my dr suspected my blocked tube in MRI but in time of laparoscopy she found one damaged tube and she removed one tube,Now I have one tube left bt dont know it would work on me or not.

Hi Trish, yes, I have conceived naturally after the laparoscopy in Dec’19. They removed endo implants from multiple locations and I was advised to try to get pregnant as soon as we can. We have tried for 2 years unsuccessfully before the surgery and after the lap we managed to conceive twice in 6 months. First in Feb’20 which ended up in early miscarriage and then again in May’20. I’m now 14 weeks pregnant and I really believe that the surgery made a huge difference to our situation. Based on some studies, it looks like large proportion of women benefit from the surgery and can successfully conceive within 6 months after. Fingers crossed for you too!

My cousin has stage 4, a ruptured cist the size of her fist removed - a few hours of surgery - while she was pregnant and both survived, although the doctors hadn’t given her much hope! Prior to that she’d also been told she was most likely infertile. She also became pregnant Naturally again just three months later and has two children with birthdays exactly one year apart. I hope it works out for you!! X

No, it wasn’t in her tube? Sorry. But I do know people still get pregnant with one!! I just wanted to let you know how some people have been in a similar situation given almost no hope but still managed to conceive.

Hi Trisha, I am actually going in this week for my laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and tubal cannulation and they will do dye test at the end of it. So far they have discovered 1 tube, which looks to be totally blocked and scarred with tissue and the other tube the dye went through but no spillage hence why I'm doing this laparoscopy to determine the extent of everything and find out what my next steps are. I am hoping that I will have at least one tube working by the end if it and be able to conceive naturally not sure what will happen with the other one. I am also 32 and have low AMH.

So far I dont think I have endo but who knows, I find out everything on Thursday

. Keep me posted on your situation as I hope it all works out for you. :) :)

This is exactly my situation, had laparoscopy for stage 4 infiltrating endometriosis on Wednesday. Had my left tube removed, my left ureter was also affected they have to put a stent. They said it was very severe, luckily enough my bowels are fine. They told me natural conception is still possible but I can consider IVF as its the pastest as I have been trying for 4year . Once I recovered will try for natural and see how it goes. Fingers crossed.
