I have just found out through a recent scan that I have fibroids. On top of the endometriosis and the adenomyosis. I’m on the extremely long nhs waiting list for a full hysterectomy
Has anyone else been in the same position and what treatment did they decide to have TIA

Hi, I’m pretty much in the same position as you with multiple fibroids, endo and adenomyosis. My main symptom has been really heavy bleeding/flooding with accompanying pain. I’ve just started Prostap monthly injections to try and put me into chemical menopause, stop the bleeding and shrink the fibroids before I have a total hysterectomy. I literally can’t wait for everything to be gone!
As I’m coming up to 52 I think the gynaecologist was hoping I would go into a natural menopause but that’s not looking like it’s happening any time soon.
Have they given a date for your hysterectomy? I dread to think what the waiting times are!
I’m on monthly Decapeptyl injections which stopped the unmanageable bleeding (eventually, 3 months in when I removed hrt) but also on the list for hysterectomy as without hrt there’s the osteoporosis risk. Hope you find an option that works for you as you wait for op.
Multiple fibroids here too, and suspected endometriosis. I also had a large fibrous polyp removed from my cervix last year and the constant jangling/burning/tight-pressure-pushing I've had since then is exhausting! I'm guessing it's nerve damage, my GP has not been helpful.
I've been finding considerable relief from the fibroid pains/symptoms since taking black seed oil and sea moss.
