Just got this diagonosis, after a CT scan and many gynaecology trips ahead. I have constant, mild pelvic pain which is worse when I’m lying down. Periods are pretty normal. I’m upset about getting pregnant. I’m not in the place in a relationship to have them right now and I want to not think about it constantly but the pelvic pain is a constant reminder. Just wondering how common it is for people to have worse pain when lying down/inactive? Anything I can do to stop my condition deteriorating? And how I can protect my mental health re anxiety as I’m not sure if I can have children.

Fibroids (last scanned, 3 medium-large ones) and adenomyosis

Hi I’ve just recently been diagnosed with Adenomyosis as well as endometriosis in a way I’m happy that I now know but in regards to the adeno there isn’t much they can do as the only true cure is a hysterectomy and I’m 26 and would still like the option to have children as not currently with anyone.
I asked my consultant how my ovaries and tubes looked and he said fine at the moment he said the best thing for me to do is stay on the depo injection as the coil would be too painful for me because of my soft uterus and having had one years I ago I would never have one again personally.
Are you on any contraceptive?
Have they discussed with you about the adeno and a lap to look in? X
Thanks for this reply, I have only had transvaginal scan and CT scan so I guess will need the Lapo before they can tell about the extent of the damage. Haven’t met with a gynaecologist yet as drs weren’t sure if it was a digestive issue.
I am not any contraceptive, u was previously on the pill for 2 years but came off it due to mood swings. How are your symptoms?
Yes see what they say when you see them ☺️ well after my lap very sore and get pains but I don’t really have any side effects from depo.
Have you read up about adeno?
