Pain 3 weeks after lap

Hi all,

I had a my first endo lap 3 weeks ago, they remove endometriosis and a large band of adhesions as well. Initially i was in a lot of pain after my op but this week it started to subside and ive started to feel a bit like my normal self again. (Just to note i had a course of strong antibiotics in the 2nd week as had a suspected internal infection and am now on my 2nd course of a not as strong antibiotic for an infection in my belly button incision site) Me & my partner had sex yesterday for the first time and it was fine no pain during. Then not long after Ive had loads of pain again, its like the first set of pains i had in the first week after my lap. It hurts to pass wind, it hurts to wee, its hurts to do anything. The main pain that is getting to me is what feels like a pain up my bum (deep in my pelvic area) when i sit down.

Im just wondering if anyone else had this? And if i should be worried?

I had started to stop taking paracetamol & ibuprofen but now im back taking them (not that they are even touching the pain).

Thanks,

I had excision surgery last sep. mostly related to bowel.I had rectal shaving. From this I had trapped wind, constipation and rectal pain for atleast 6 weeks. Try to get plenty of fibre in your diet. Your body has been through a lot and it takes time to settle. Hope it eases for you soon x

I was a good 6-8 weeks after both of my surgeries before I was off painkillers and able to resume usual activities.

Docs usually say no sex for at least four weeks after the op, you are all cut about inside. I had pain after my excision for 6 months it take sages to heal, surgeon said 8 months to heal completely so don't panic about the pain it will gradually get less. But it is quite a big op so be careful about doing anything heavy for a couple of months at least.
