Has anyone had this? I'm worried Im home from hospital and was dealing just about with the swelling and excise pain but I didn't have the groin pain after my first lap and Im freaking out.
My groin is twitching slightly and feels really...gross. I can't think of a better way to put it. It just feels gross like something is in there

Thanks lovely. Good to know that other have experienced this.
We have now taken me off Diclofenac as it wasnt touching it (and I'm already on a different muscle relaxant) and gone back on to Paracetamol and Ibuprofen which is seemingly helping now. Maybe its just all the stress, trying to be active (i dont lay in bed and relax well) and I'm just making it twinge. thank you for the response. so glad im not alone here. xx
Hi, if you go directly upwards from the sensation in groin do you have an incision? I have this it showed itself about a week after and still have it now 4 1/2 wks later, i believe mine is just where a nerve was involved in the incision, kind of pins and needles but also really tender in my groin. Its a wierd feeling on the surface rather than inside. Does this sound the same?
I do!!! That would make a lot of sense. My parents (im 25, they are looking after me through all of this) wonder maybe its just from being unconcscious in stirrups. body is too relaxed to hold itself so maybe the muscles got over stretched and are now inflammed. It feels really squishy and it twitches. which makes me feel really nauseous. Oh the things endo causes. thank you for taking the time to reply to me xxx
Hi I had groin pain after a lap last year, It was pain in only one side. My groin did feel solid and seem swollen. I saw a Dr and they said I had a infection and put me on antibiotics. After a few days the pain went. I had this problem over a bank holiday weekend, called the NHS number and then was put through to a out of hours Dr who I went to see in the hospital so if your concerned see your GP.
Ahh okay, thank you. I'm on antibios so maybe it'll start to get better. If you dont mind me asking, what did the GP say the second time you saw them?xx
As I had initilly seen a out of hours GP, when I went back to my regular GP the groin pain had gone so they thought all seemed OK by then and that I probably did have a infection. I should add though that I also had pain urinating so was put on another set of antibiotics for that as well as the antibiotics for the groin pain and I had terrible constipation from the codeine I was on so it was a rough time. The pain did go, so i would give it some time and you should hopefully see a difference from the antibiotics
Hi. I had my first laparoscopy on 14th March and a week later on 21st I woke up with bad groin pain and numbness over part of my thigh. I went to see my GP and she said that I had some nerve damage from the procedure and it can take quite a while to get better. She prescribed me Gabapentin tablets which have made a huge difference to the pain - I now feel almost back to normal. They made me feel a bit woozy and light headed when I first started taking them but now I'm ok. Have you got any numbness or tingling down your leg or is it just the pain in your groin? X
