Had my lap done just over 3 weeks ago and they found mild stage1 endo and removed it I was okay for the first week no pelvic pain but now I am starting too feel pelvic pain and lower back pain is this normal it’s like the pain I had before the lap? Went back to work and had too get signed off again as just couldn’t stand all day without pain? Worried Iv overdone it. Also how long is the right time too wait to start trying too conceive ? Many thanks xxx

Was it done by someone with at least a special interest in endo as they could have missed some if not? The discharge note is usually the best indication as to how thorough it was (or not). We often see just the uterus and ovaries mentioned which can indicate a non-expert approach. Does it say where the endo was and how it was treated?

Yes it says all areas that are okay and the area that they found it and how they treated it

Iv also read a lot and seen a lot that it’s normal for some pelvic pain after surgery

Hi there - had mine 9 weeks ago and I don’t think I stopped getting pain/aches every day until last week! 3 weeks is still so soon after. I was signed off work for a month, then did a phased return with some home working, which I was so grateful for, as I really needed the rest! As for whether it’s the same pain as before the lap - I think you’ll still be recovering inside and the pain could feel similar? I had sharp, twisting pains and aches for weeks which felt very similar to the pain I was getting before. We are trying to conceive too.. it’s been 3 years now! I waited until I’d had my first period after the lap, which was around 4 weeks after, and when it wasn’t uncomfortable to! All the best with your recovery 😊

Thankyou so much for your reply I think I’m being too hard on myself and just expecting too be okay I work in retail so on my feet for 8 hours went back after 2 weeks and had too her doc too signed me off again it was just too much. What stage endo did you have ? Take care x

Maybe you have overdone it but everyone is different and heal at different times it took me a month to heal and feel more comfortable take care
