Laparoscopy and progesterone and intense period pain

Hi, I had a laparoscopy three weeks ago to remove two endometriomas from my cysts and to remove endometriosis from my bowel. One of my Fallopian tubes was partially cut due to fluid.

I have been taking progesterone to lessen the number of periods I have. I’ve just had a period and was bleeding so heavily that I could not leave the house was also in pain, equivalent to what I experienced prior to the op.

I spoke to my consultant yesterday who was unsure if my periods will continue like this and didn’t really have any words of encouragement.

Has anyone experienced something similar? I just feel as though I’ve been through the operation and not really feeling any better.

Progesterone is also making me incredibly teary, feel sick and irritable.
